Computer-delivered Tests Schedule The Praxis™ program continues to offer candidates additional computer-delivered tests, and we will be adding 23 new or regenerated test titles on computer by the end of this testing year. New Regenerated Tests for 2013–2014 The Praxis program will be rolling out 13 newly regenerated assessments in the 2013–2014 testing year. Nine of the new tests have been redesigned to align to the Common Core State Standards (CCSS), including the Praxis Core Academic Skills for Educators tests in Reading, Writing and Mathematics, and Praxis II® Mathematics and English Language Arts tests for Middle School and Secondary Education. Upcoming Multistate Standard Setting Studies The new testing year begins with the continuation of National Advisory Committee (NAC) meetings, the regeneration of test titles and Multistate Standard-Setting Studies (MSSS) to keep the test content fresh, relevant and current with changing requirements for prospective teachers. Testing Windows Test administration dates have been scheduled for the 2013–2014 test year, and the dates are listed below. Elementary Education: Content Knowledge (5014), Elementary Education: Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment (5011), and the computer-delivered PPST tests (5710, 5720, 5730, 5750) are administered continuously. Candidates who are taking other tests by computer now have eight two-week windows and one one-week window to take their computer-delivered test. Candidates who are taking their tests on paper have four test administration dates. Testing for World Languages is available in five one-week testing windows. Visit the Praxis website to find out which tests are offered during each testing window or test date, as not all tests are offered in every testing administration. New Educator Assessment Developments Missouri Pre-Service Assessment — ETS was recently awarded a contract by the Missouri Department of Education to provide a pre-service, performance-based assessment to teacher candidates, school leaders, librarians and guidance counselors. Development work on these new assessments has already begun. The pilot is underway for the pre-service teacher assessment, which ETS will be launching in the fall of 2014. Praxis™ Performance Assessment for Teachers (PPAT) — ETS is also developing a Praxis Performance Assessment for Teachers that can be used by states across the country. This assessment will be aligned with InTASC Standards and Common Core Standards, and have both formative and summative tasks. The assessment, including the submission of feedback from observations, video and

work samples/artifacts will be completely online and allow for reflective dialogue and professional interactions between candidates and their university and cooperating instructors. The Praxis program is working with states in the development of task requirements and guiding prompts and rubrics, and will pilot the program in January of 2014. A full launch is anticipated in 2014. Georgia Assessments for the Certification of Educators® (GACE®)— ETS was chosen to develop new GACE teacher certification assessments. Each assessment is aligned with state and national standards for educator preparation and with Georgia state standards for the P–12 student curriculum — the Common Core Georgia Performance Standards (CCGPS).
