BEA INDUSTRIAL

Pedestrian-based products from BEA can be found in retail facilities, airports, hospitals, educational institutions and hundreds of other applications across the globe.

Industrial-based products from BEA help streamline operations within warehouses, distribution centers and other facilities where the need for unobstructed workflow is a priority.

BEA produces sensors used for door activation and safety as well as a variety of push/activation plates that maximize accessibility. To reduce the spread of germs, several activation plates are completely touchless.

This product line includes dual-technology sensors and sensors capable of disregarding pedestrian traffic while detecting larger masses such as forklifts and delivery trucks. Additionally, BEA's Industrial sensors provide presence detection near the door area.

Additionally, BEA provides transmitters, receivers and relay modules, which work with all major doors and door controls.

Security-based products from BEA offer cutting-edge solutions to ensure the security of a building's people and products.

BEA’s Sensorio segment works to identify solutions to technical challenges that inhibit workflow, safety and security.

Included in BEA's Security Segment are infrared security sensors, electric strikes, Maglocks, keypads and other devices designed to integrate seamlessly within a buildings security network.

Once these challenges are identified, our engineering team begins working on custom solutions to address them.

NEMA ENCLOSURE RATINGS

The National Electrical Manufacturers Association defines a specific set of standards for electrical enclosures. Each type is rated to protect against specific environmental conditions such as water, dust or various atmospheric conditions. The following ratings are types assigned to a number of our products. NEMA 3S – Provides a degree of protection to the internal equipment against: ingress of solid foreign objects (i.e. falling dirt and windblown dust) or ingress of water (i.e. rain, sleet or snow). The device's external mechanisim(s) will remain operable when ice laden. NEMA 4 – Provides a degree of protection to the internal equipment against: ingress of solid foreign objects (i.e. falling dirt and windblown dust) or ingress of water (i.e. rain, sleet, snow, splashing water and hose directed water). The device will be undamaged by the external formation of ice on the enclosure.

NEMA 4x – Provides a degree of protection to the internal equipment against: ingress of solid foreign objects (i.e. falling dirt and windblown dust) or ingress of water (i.e. rain, sleet, snow, splashing water and hose directed water). Provides additional protection against corrosion and the device will be undamaged by the external formation of ice on the enclosure. NEMA 7BCD – Intrinsically safe1 enclosures constructed for indoor use in hazardous (classified) locations. Specific to Class I, Groups B, C, and D as defined in NFPA 70. NEMA 9EFG – Intrinsically safe1 enclosures constructed for indoor use in hazardous (classified) locations. Specific to Class II, Groups E, F, and G as defined in NFPA 70.

The term “Intrinsically Safe” (I.S.) is frequently used to describe any product destined for an explosive area. I.S. is a protection concept based around limiting the available electrical energy to nonincendive levels so that sparks cannot occur from short circuit or failures which could cause an explosive atmosphere to ignite.
