New England Sports Center ISI Learn-To-Skate and Bridge Programs

Welcome to the ISI Learn to Skate and Bridge program, directed by Dolly DukeMaggio, at the New England Sports Center. We are celebrating our 11th successful year. Come experience the difference of our tried and true professionals, many of whom have been here since our inaugural season. We are looking forward to another successful year of fun and learning. It is an honor to be selected to teach your children, and one we take seriously. The Sports Center is hosting The ISI World Championships in July 2006 with skaters from all over the world. Come be part of the fun! We are pleased to offer: LEARN-TO-SKATE classes – 25 minutes of class instruction, 8 to 10 children per instructor, and 25 minutes of supervised practice time. Suitable for children of all ages. As skills develop, classes oriented toward figure skating and hockey are available. BRIDGE PROGRAM classes - 50 minutes of class instruction, 3 to 5 children per instructor. This program is designed for children and adults who wish to progress at a more accelerated pace. ADULT CLASSES – choose from Learn to Skate or Bridge programs. PRIVATE LESSONS – One-on-One with the Professional of your choice. Rates vary depending on the experience of your selected instructor. (New students add yearly Membership fee $35 first family member, $15 each additional family member. This membership is required for all skaters in the program and is good for one entire year.)

SKATE RENTAL INCLUDED Directions: From Route 495 take Route 290 west toward Worcester, take first exit (25BSolomon Pond Mall exit); at end of ramp go right, then take the first right onto Donald Lynch Blvd. Rink is 3 miles on left.

YOU MUST REGISTER 1 WEEK PRIOR TO THE START OF CLASS. LATE APPLICATIONS ARE ACCEPTED ONLY AT THE DISCRETION OF THE DIRECTOR. Learn-to-Skate Classes are available for skaters of all ability levels, ages 3 and above. HELMETS ARE REQUIRED for all beginners under the age of 7. Classes consist of a 25 minute group lesson and 25 minutes of supervised practice time. It is recommended that you bring your skater to the first class 10 minutes early so that instructors can check skate fit, lacings, etc. Parents of skaters 5 years of age and under may skate with their child during the practice time once they have signed a release form for themselves. LTS classes have up to 10 skaters per instructor.

The Bridge Program is designed for the skater who wishes to learn at an accelerated pace. Each class will consist of up to 5 skaters per instructor and class time is the entire 50 minutes. Skaters are given a program choreographed to music which they help select. When and if the skater wishes to enter a local competition, their programs will be ready. Bridge classes are available from Alpha through Free Style levels. Once a skater completes FS4, they should be ready for private lessons in our Figure Skating Club program. A list of current ISI professionals who give private lessons is available from the Program Director.

PLEASE NOTE – NO ONE MAY BE ON THE ICE WITHOUT SKATES!!!! THERE ARE NO REFUNDS AND NO MAKE-UP CLASSES FOR MISSED LESSONS. SESSIONS ARE SUBJECT TO CANCELLATION IF ENROLLMENT IS INSUFFICIENT. There is a yearly membership fee for each skater - $35 for the first skater and $15 for each additional skater within the family. This fee covers administrative costs and includes registration with the ISI for each skater. If the skater is currently registered with the ISI, please send a copy of their
