Paul summarizes it all when he says: “in man’s foolishness, he exchanges the glory (image) of the incorruptible God, which he is, with that of corruptible man. The fool (mortal man) denies the knowledge of God (Christ his true identity) and therefore corrupts Himself as He conforms to the creature rather than retaining his state as the creator.

That which differentiates Noah from the others is that he had hearing ears. Like Enoch, He walked with God, and was taken away so that he escaped the horrors that befall those who dwell on the earth (the terrestrial man). This is the same redemption that awaits any man who will dare to pause and listen to the Spirit. Walking with God means aligning oneself wholly to His Spirit, because two cannot walk together except they agree. Aligning ourselves to God’s Spirit means receiving from it, and all it does is speak truth. It awakens man from his deep sleep of mortality by bringing remembrance of things he lost as the invisible and incorruptible Son of God who inhabits eternity. The voice of the Spirit delivers man from the lowly abominable terrestrial state, back into his glorious self, ruling and reigning upon the everlasting mountains (Zion).
