Neuropsychology

Neuropsychology Our neuropsychologists bring a psychological viewpoint to the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of neurological, medical and emotional conditions affecting the structure and function of the brain. We work with patients and their family members/caregivers to document the type and extent of neurological or neuropsychological impairment and recommend ways to improve functioning.

• Comprehensive evaluations with standardized norm–

referenced psychometric tests to determine brain functioning and mental capacity • Inpatient consults, assistance with competency issues and discharge recommendations • Memory Disorders Clinic (see Neurology) • Pre- and post-surgical evaluations to establish baseline mental functioning, readiness for surgery and/or identification of changes following surgery • Sports Concussion Clinic for baseline concussion testing and post-concussion evaluation/follow-up for student athletes
