Ecological product footprint In 2011, Finsa became the first manufacturer of wood-based panels on the Iberian Peninsula that provides the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for its products. The EPD is a tool for passing on clear and transparent information on the environmental impact of a certain product during all the stages in its life cycle.

Certifications:
Wood from sustainable forests The Chain of Custody certifies the journey of the raw materials from the forest to the consumer/customer, including all stages of the process, i.e. it guarantees the customer that the products are manufactured with materials that are sourced from sustainably managed forests. This guarantee is provided through the PEFC and FSC certifications, which affect the manufacture and marketing of products derived from wood. 5
Natural surfaces
Few materials are more natural than wood
It has accompanied us in our evolution and today remains an essential element for creating our environments. When we think of a warm, cosy, authentic, environment, we immediately think of wood.
With veneered boards we achieve a perfect balance between beauty and technical performance.
6
By applying a wood veneer of between 0.6 mm and 0.8 mm upon a substrate made of chipboard, superPan®, MDF or plywood, we multiply the possibilities for making natural surfaces to personalize decorative projects, furniture and general carpentry.

“Natural veneer can provide your projects with character and uniqueness”
This is a selected product, in which we can eliminate common wood defects such as cracks, knots and instability. The large amount of veneer that is drawn from a single trunk ensures consistency in terms of tone, structure and shape of the wood.
When applied upon Finsa technical wood substrates, the product’s structural properties are vastly improved. Veneered boards offer the best value for money for natural products. By using these types of surfaces, we optimize the use of natural resources. 7

Experience and professionalism
W
ood veneer is a noble product of high-value, for which the word quality takes on a special meaning.
So we control the entire production process from the beginning, by making a careful selection of the veneer at the source, its classification and coupling, thus providing excellent consistency in terms of the quality of the final product. Our industrial capacity puts us in a unique position to provide solutions for the most demanding needs.

All species have their own features, charm and beauty in their most natural state. We have a wide range of natural veneers from all around the world to offer. Our collection is constantly evolving, adding new species in order to adapt to the latest trends. A team of experts is responsible for veneer screening and selection, in order to define its qualities:

We have a colour scale covering a wide range of aesthetic possibilities. This technique eliminates tone differences that exist by using veneer from different logs. As the veneer is coloured throughout its entire thickness, and not only on the surface, this allows the veneer to be sanded without changing its colour.

Service levels
T
he ability to innovate is one of the key competitive aspects and differentiating elements in an increasingly demanding market. from the very beginning, FINSA has always faced the changes with an open and innovative spirit.
Our ability to adapt and willingness to offer solutions that meet the expectations of our customers have led us to redesign our supply of veneer namely by incorporating improvements in our three service levels:
Express Offer
Pag. 21

The widest range of substrates in the market: water resistant, flame retardant, light substrates, DM COMPAC... The widest range of veneered thicknesses: 3 to 81 mm. Finishing works: splint, sawn, through vein, multispecies ... Complementary processes: varnishing, machining, slotting ...
11
Trends T
he search for authentic and genuine materials is answered by wood veneer. Nature is not incompatible with innovation and wood veneer has adapted to changing times by its evolving trends.
Below are three of the latest additions to our range of natural veneers. Three clear examples of how wood can be reinvented.
Bleach Oak
Natural is trendy. Now, more than ever, we surround ourselves with spaces that allow us to lead a healthy life and, therefore, we want materials that help us live in harmony and that convey wellbeing. With Bleached Oak we reinterpret the classic oak veneer, cleansing it of all impurities and imperfections. The bleaching process emphasizes the purity of this meshed oak, which allows us to create environments where we can breathe balance and simplicity.
12
Segato Oak
Texture has become a crucial aspect in addressing new areas. Materials that attract us by sight as well as by touch are the most searched for. The saw cut finish of Segato Oak provides the veneer with a rough look, as if it were actually lumber. This effect is sought in order to recreate industrial-like environments where the unfinished look of wood is mixed with other materials such as concrete or rusty steel.
Tasmanian gum smoked
The transformation of eucalyptus veneer after the smoking process is amazing. The natural beauty of wood is enhanced. The general tone becomes considerably darker until an elegant, dark brown tone is obtained, tinged with golden pores that provide good light. The result is an ideal veneer for sophisticated discreet environments, in which the concept of luxury is understood and the excellence that characterizes it. 13
fUSION T
he combination of veneer and melamine in the same support allows us to enjoy the best of both surfaces: the nobility of veneer and the unbeatable performance of melamine.
The end result is an innovative product at a very competitive cost, only made possible by FINSA’s industrial experience. Our global view of decorative surfaces allows us to offer the most appropriate combinations according to the final application, while keeping in mind the latest trends. Veneer can be served varnished. Following are some possible combinations.
Oak+ Oak Trigo
Walnut+Walnut Canaletto
The great degree of similarity between both references results in the same visual appearance. A versatile and natural combination. Walnut veneer is a clear example of the richness of the wood. With crowns or quarter, it is one of the first choices for the home furniture industry.
Slate Oak + Aluminium The metal-tone interiors are a trend in kitchen and bathroom areas. With this combination of Aluminium and Slate Oak, we are able to unify the inside of the piece of furniture and apply a state-of-the-art veneer on the exterior. 14

O
ur dedication to service is guided by a clear entrepreneurial spirit. We are always willing to learn, improve and take on new challenges to provide ever-increasing value.
Objective: To help facilitate the work of our customers so that they may achieve the best results, and so we offer a wide range of processes on veneered boards.
Splints
Our possibilities of matching together and our wide range of veneers allow us to create customised compositions, alternating quarter areas and half or whole crowns, as required.
Sawmill Finishing
Imperfect surfaces are highly trendy. The rustic and worn appearance achieved with this finishing can be applied over any veneer in our range.
26
Multispecie
Creativity and naturalness in a single product. With the combination of different species in a single sheet, we multiply the decorative possibilities of wood. The range of possibilities is quite broad. We are open to any proposal.
Crossed Grain
Whether for aesthetics or due to requirements of the final application, the need for boards with a transverse orientation of the grain is quite common. Such projects can count on our crossed grain veneer board. Measuring 2100 x 1220 mm, this board comes sanded.
Complementary processes
Varnishing For finished surfaces, we offer the possibility of varnishing with several types of finishing. The surface is protected with a protective film.
Grooving
Machine work
To achieve a nice decorative appearance, we can perform, on the surface and along the direction of the board, a series of parallel grooves of about 2 mm. Depending on the desired effect, one can adjust the profile and width between the grooves.
Finsa has all the means of production as well as human and technological resources to meet any transformation in the furniture industry. We can supply edged, drilled and / or slotted parts. 27
