CLIL methodology provides the Savia Project with the specific principles for content learning in English.

LeARnInG BY dOInG With Savia, your students will learn through experimentation and discoveries.

M e T H O d O L O G I C A L I n n O VAT I O n Savia provides teachers with innovative ideas that can be integrated naturally into the usual school schedule and beyond. Cooperative learning and Learning to think.

SCAFFOLdInG Savia makes it possible for all your students to learn curricular content and English progressively, thanks to the proposal of diverse strategies and multiple resources.

5

T H I S I S S AV I A The Savia series is based on a student-centered model that encourages both qualitative thinking and universal values. Savia has been developed with teachers to support their work in the classroom and provide them with the resources they need.

6

S AV I A C O N C E P T S

In Savia, we search for new educational trends and ways to innovate, improve and provide teachers with proposals that support effective learning.

QUALITY THINKING AND PARTICIPATION Quality thinking is not spontaneous, but the result of an educational process that includes the development of skills and abilities. This type of thinking allows students to process and reinterpret information, generate original ideas, and develop metacognitive skills.

ASSESSMENT FOR LEARNING Assessment is an essential part of the teaching process. It plays a key role in establishing learning goals and moving the class forward to new topics. Students’ work should be collected regularly to gauge their skills and level of improvement in order to give students what they need to succeed.

SUPPORTING STUDENTS’ DEVELOPMENT Attitudes and principles are crucial to the education process because they require students to take an affective approach to school. Success in the classroom depends largely on students’ attitudes and values. An emphasis on attitudes also encourages personal development in students that will help them grow both in and outside of the classroom.
