I wish to thank our parish community for the outpouring of prayers and condolences on the passing of my sister. Diane was known to many of you as she was a member here from 2012-2015. Diane's passing was certainly not expected. Yet, in reflection it is easy to see how God had been preparing me and our family for this time. I will be celebrating a funeral Mass for my sister at St. Kateri in Bay Mills, Michigan on December 17th. May the Lord who is always faithful bless you for your kindness and preserve our hearts in peace. - Father Chris A Farewell Reception in honor of Bishop Gregory Parkes will held Wednesday, December 21st, from 5:00pm-7:00pm at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, Ave Maria Hall, in Pensacola. All are invited to join us as we share with him our gratitude and best wishes in his assignment as Bishop of St. Petersburg.

Christmas Reflections A Christmas Music and Stories Program th

Sunday, December 18 , 2016 4:00 PM in the Parish Hall “Christmas Reflections” continues our fine tradition of bringing Christmas to life at Nativity of Our Lord. Our program reflects on seven scenes of God’s hand reaching out to us and songs that echo these encounters. Sing-a-longs are included. Light refreshments will be available during the program. From the Music Ministry and the Road to Bethlehem Players,

Merry Christmas.

The holidays can be a very painful time of year for those grieving a loss, those who are alone, sick, experiencing financial difficulties or have difficult family relationships. The usual celebrations and expectations of the season can exacerbate feelings of depression and anxiety, St. Paul Parish is offering a Blue Christmas Mass for those who are suffering. All are invited to celebrate the true religious meaning of the season. The Blue Christmas Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 21 at 7:00pm. We hope you will join us. For students who missed the Pensacola Catholic High School Placement Test in November there will be one last chance to take the test before Freshman Registration on January 21, 2017. The Placement Test will be administered on Tuesday, January 3, 2017, beginning at 9:00 a.m. in the CHS Media Center. The test will end by 12:30 p.m. You must bring a completed Placement Test Pre-Registration Form (available on the CHS website, www.pensacolachs.org), two #2 pencils, and the $15 test fee. The Placement Test is required for all current eighth grade students interested in attending Catholic High for the 2017-2018 academic year.

Third Sunday of Advent

December 11, 2016

Father Pat’s Page Hello everyone. The most important message I can pass along this week is that in the next few days Father Chris and I will be having special hours for the Sacrament of Penance (Reconciliation/Confession) for those who might like to participate in a special spiritual preparation for the coming Feast of Christmas. Our hours will be: Father Chris: Monday, Dec 12:

12:00 noon to 1:00pm 5:00pm to 6:00pm

Father Pat: Wednesday, Dec 14

6:00am to 7:00am 6:00pm to 7:00pm +

Looks like we brought in quite a few recipes for our Parish cookbook. Thanks to all who sent in recipes. The sale of the books, which are expected to be here by the 17th, will definitely help out our parish Youth Group. + Don’t forget to check the Christmas schedule. It’s the same as previous years but always good to know in advance. (Since Christmas Eve is a Saturday this year, there will be no Confession time available on that day.) + Our parish “Christmas Reflections” program will be on Sunday the 18th. Hope you can carve out some time to be here with us: 4:00pm in the parish hall.
