Father Pat’s Page Good news for us all: the Parish Directories are about complete and will be shipped here June16. Wait til you see them. Very well done. You’re going to enjoy them tremendously and … just think of all the people you know by face but not by name. That’s going to change. Again, thanks to all of you who participated in this huge project of getting your picture or family picture taken and then accepted the huge task of putting the Directory together. + On Tuesday of this past week our church building was inspected for any possible asbestos. That’s one of the major steps to get permission for us to be on our way to paving the parking lot and doing some updates in the Church itself. We’re getting closer and closer. + We have initiated a program for the hearing impaired. We have purchased four systems to be used during Mass for those who need an extra assistance in hearing during our celebration of Mass. This should flow quite easily and we’ll have them operable very, very soon. Think you might need to use one? Call the office. Thanks. + This weekend we end our weekend socials after our weekend Masses. This is just for the summer months which has been our custom. HOWEVER, we WILL continue Donut Sunday each first Sunday of the month. Those who are presently preparing for our 1st Sunday of the month socials are willing to continue and we are indeed grateful to them. btw: when we start up again only one Saturday per month are a we without help. If you would like to volunteer, beginning in Sept, to set up etc for a Saturday social after Mass, please call the parish office and let us know. We accomplished quite a bit this past year and we would like to continue on. + Help! Interested in driving someone to Church for Mass on a Saturday or Sunday??? If you are, call the parish office. This doesn’t have to be a weekly thing… we’ll be very pleased for whatever opportunity you can offer. There are a few parishioners who are looking for a ride to Mass but are unable to drive themselves. Let us know the possibility and we’ll work with you. +
