INTRODUCTION

Welcome to

(Since 1965)

The Namibia Table Tennis Association (NTTA) is the governing body for the sport of table tennis in the country. The NTTA is affiliated to the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF), the Africa Table Tennis Federation (ATTF), the Namibian Sports Commission (NSC) as well as the Namibian National Olympic Committee (NNOC).

TABLE TENNIS

Table tennis is a sport in which two or four players hit a lightweight 40mm diameter Plastic ball back and forth using a table tennis bat. Table tennis is the most popular racquet sport in the world and ranked second overall in terms of participation. Table tennis is an Olympic Sport since 1988 What is the one thing that Table Tennis has that other sports don’t? Answer: The thrill of the rally. Top reasons to play table tennis: (1) Promotes entertainment, athletic competition, physical fitness (2) Supports racial and religious diversity and interaction (3) Serves as an inter-generation magnet (i.e. all ages can play well together)

Masters Cup February

The Masters Cup is played annually at Wernhill Mall on a Saturday. With this exhibition tournament we bring the sport to the spectators and create great exposure for table tennis as well as sponsors involved supporting this competition.

Table Tennis for All October

The Plankies tournament is a social tournament aimed at mass participation

Windhoek Open September

Namibian Open Championships July

Namibian Open Championships are open for players of all ages from any country to participate and win the title for the most prestigious table tennis championships on Namibian soil.

Namibian National Closed Championships July

Namibian National Championships are only open for players from Namibia, where they fight for the glory of being crowned the Namibian National Champion.

This tournament of the highest category for juniors and seniors is the longest running tournament hosted by NTTA.

NATIONAL LEAGUES

Singles League

“FNB” Interschools August

August - November

The National Singles League is played in an A and B category, with the B category focussed on social players. The league runs over a period of 10 weeks, providing long term exposure for players and sponsors.

Doubles League February - March

One of the most competitive and exciting leagues in table tennis, which runs over a period of 6 weeks

Team League

Team competition between various schools from different regions in Namibia. This event has been hosted since the early ‘90s, where players enjoy great teambuilding as well as individual experience.

Junior & Cadet Champs June

The Namibian Junior & Cadet Championships are open for u/15 and u/18 players from around the country. They compete in this prestigious event for the national champion title.

April - August

This is the most presitigious league in Namibian table tennis. Clubs enter teams consisting of 3 players who participate to determine the leading club in Namibia. This competition is run over 18 weeks.

Media Coverage

Various opportunities exist for branding at competition venues, which provide you with excellent exposure to participants, spectators as well as the general public viewing pictures on social media and in the media.

The NTTA is able to provide excellent exposure to partners using various mediums, including newspapers, radio, television, the Namibia table tennis website as well as the popular social media platforms of the NTTA.

Branding can include pull up banner and A-frames, logos on barriers around playing area branding on the sides of the table as well as on the net and the floor. Players numbers can also be branded.

We will also gladly discuss and explore various other activation ideas with you.

BRANDING OPPORTUNITIES

SUPPORT

National Team Branding The national team can also be utilised for branding, placing logos on the team’s shirts, bags and other accessories. This branding will create a strong link between you and the countries top players. Players will be seen with these branded items at various events in the country and at international competitions outside Namibia.

You Can Support Us Numerous opportunities exist and can be tailored to your needs.
