Wednesday April 22, 2015 Opening Plenary Session: Gabe Goltz “Moving Forward Together” Wednesday, April 22 8:45 AM -12:00 PM

As we head deeper into the 21st century, Arizona’s judicial branch is facing a broad range of challenges. Change is everywhere—the faces of our communities, the expectations of citizens and policymakers, and the technologies we use in our jobs. And, with the start of the tenure of Arizona’s newest Chief Justice, new goals, priorities, and initiatives are provided in the Court’s current strategic agenda, “Advancing Justice Together: Courts and Communities 2014-2019”. How can we succeed in the face of so much change? By moving forward together! This session will examine these changes and the ways the judicial branch as a whole—and each one of us individually—can rise to the occasion. *Ethics, The Arizona Court System, Current and Local Issues in the Courts and Public Service, Effective Communication, Customer Service*

These interactions include people with varied cultural, socio-economic, and educational backgrounds. We are expected to conduct ourselves professionally and with integrity. This dynamic session will provide you with the opportunity to participate in activities and group discussions to help you identify the skills and provide techniques needed for effective communication. *Ethics and Public Service, Effective Communication, Customer Service*

B.A.C.A. (Bikers Against Child Abuse) Pam “Nytro” Musler – 8:30 AM – 11:45 AM BIKERS AGAINST CHILD ABUSE (B.A.C.A.), exists with the intent to create a safer environment for abused children. We exist as a body of bikers to empower children to not feel afraid of the world in which they live. We stand ready to lend support to our wounded friends by involving them with an established, united organization. We work in conjunction with local and state officials who are already in place to protect children. We desire to send a clear message to all involved with the abused child that this child is part of our organization, and that we are prepared to lend our physical and emotional support to them by affiliation, and our physical presence. We stand at the ready to shield these children from further abuse. It has been calculated that in the last 10 years B.A.C.A. has helped over 8,500 children and that they are predicting to do this in just 2 years now. We are now in 8 Countries, and have 173 Chapters in 46 States now. We are growing at an exciting rate and reaching more & more of our wounded lil ones and this is because of all the agencies that have opened up to how we can help. We are not there to take anyone's job....we are there only to help. We do what no other agency in the world does. We go to court with our wounded ones to help them to tell their story and stand tall. To not be afraid or ashamed of what happened to them. To get the convictions they deserve so they can heal. And if a child is in fear, we will camp out on their lawn...whether for 1 day, 1 week or 1 month around the clock...whatever it takes to help them to sleep at night. The stories we have will definitely make you remember who we are, who we are not, what we do and what we don't do.

You would think there’s no place in such a monotone environment for design elements like color, typography, or graphics, wouldn’t you? Prepare to think again. While your job may entail creating some of those aforementioned documents, you also might find yourself creating brochures, PowerPoint presentations, or even mass emails that need to catch the eye as well as inform.
