MOOS Recycling unit

Technical specifications. Sludge tank:

Dimensions Ø 1800 mm, equipped with tipping cylinder. Approximately 12 m3. -1.0 bar/+0,5.

Jetting water tank:

6 plastic water tanks each of 450 ltr.

Jetting system:

Pressure converter 500 ltr /min at 220 bar, 150 kW and recycling system. Rotation filter inclusive of internal jetting nozzles, 500 ltr feed pump.

Vacuum system:

Liquid ring pump, 2600 m3/2000 CFM, 80 kW

Suction hose reel:

Hydraulic suction hose reel, mounted with freewheel. The suction hose reel is mounted with approximately 65 m 3” suction hose. The suction hose reel is mounted near side of the hose frame for 1 1/4” jetting hose reel.

Suction hose cassette:

On top of the tank a hose cassette is mounted with approximately 16 m of 5” suction hose.

Power-pack:

HPT70R pressure converter and VPC80 vacuum pump with intercooler (cooling system).

Hydraulic cooler:

WT40 hydraulic tank with built-in heat exchanger.

Remote control:

Full control of small/large jetting hose reel, suction cassette with crane and suction hose reel. Start/stop of unit, start/stop of the vacuum pump and start/stop of the pressure converter. If the radio transmitter looses contact with the unit, any function started will automatically stop after a few seconds. If the radio transmitter is used the main control panel of the unit is automatically disconnected, and as soon as the radio transmitter is switched off the main control panel is activated again.

However, when we speak about 750 metres of 500 mm pipe in a remote and virtually inaccessible location, which required to be jetted and cleared of roots without stopping, then you need a machine with the capacity and capability that can cope with the heavy demands expected to undertake such a project.

The operation was a success! We managed effectively to clear the roots and remove all the debris from the sewer. The work was carried out continuously by recycling water from a nearby water course.

Simon Moos, the Managing Director of Simon Moos Entrepriser A/S, the contracting division of Simon Moos Maskinfabrik A/S, was contacted by Per Aarsleff A/S, another Danish contracting company and asked whether we could find a solution to such a problem. The sewer concerned needed to be lined and if it was not possible to jet the full length of the pipe without stopping, the only alternative was to dig up the existing length of pipe work and replace it with a new one. An expensive alternative! Simon Moos A/S Entrepriser had just started using a new recycling unit developed by the manufacturing division of the company, which gives 500 ltr /per min. of recycled water at 220 bar. Using the remote drone which is fitted with tracks the 350 metres of jetting hose on the recycling unit can be extended to 750 metres. The question was could we keep a high enough pressure in the jetting hose to operate the root cutter at the 750 metres
