Module T Handbook of the Restore procedure for the line of artificial vision systems Vedo / HQV. This handbook illustrates the restore procedure of the artificial vision system.

1. Generality In case of necessity is possible to restore the last configuration of the system. This is necessary if the hard disk containing the operative system and the vision are broken. This procedure explains step by step the procedure to restore a correct configuration of the system.

2. Verify the necessary material Before proceeding it is necessary to check if we have everything what needs. The necessary material consists of: •

New Hard Disk: Is the new support on which Microsoft Windows and vision system will be installed. It must be EIDE disk.

SD memory into card reader: It contains the clone/image of the original Hard Disk drive and the projects of the vision system software.

3. Opening of computer For first thing it’s necessary to replace the broken disk. It is necessary to open the computer and to replace it with a new one. •

For first thing disconnect all the cables from the computer.

Position the computer on a plan placed on a side and unscrew the screws that hold together the superior counter with the rest of the PC. Now the broadside can be unthread with extreme facility.

MT1

Remove the broadside from the Personal Computer.

With a lot of attention we will have to get off the damaged disk. The disk is placed on the same support of the memory card reader. For first thing it’s necessary to remove the screws that stop this support, then remove the support.

MT2

To get off the disk disconnect it from the PC. The disk has two connectors, one is white and small and the other is black and big. Serving a lot of attention to disconnect the connectors.

Done this Throwing upward slightly the support, this will be unthread and it will be possible to access the hard disk. Subsequently unscrew the screws that stop it to the computer.

The disk to this point will be unthread and it can be replaced with that new.

4. Insert the new disk in the PC •

Take the new disk, insert it and screw it to the support.

Connect the connectors to the new Hard Disk. The connectors can have connected in an alone way therefore it is not possible to be wrong. Make attention to don’t crush the cables behind the support.

Insert the support in the PC.

Screw the hard disk to the support.

Screw the support to the PC.

5. Close the computer •

Reassemble the frontal panel of the computer.

Reassemble the side counter and screw it to the rest of the PC.

Reconnect all the cables to the computer. Now the software can be restored on the new disk.

If the PC don’t boot check the cable.

Arrived to this point is necessary therefore to restore the original configuration of the Computer. This is possible because the computer is equipped of a memory SD that contains the image of the previous hard disk. Therefore soon it will be possible to restore the entire one hard disk and later also the projects of the vision software.

Follow these points in order to execute this operation. •
