Features
Introduction You now own one of the most advanced home water filtration systems available anywhere. The AquaNano utilizes electropositive technology as part of a multi-stage, high flow filtering system with limited pressure drop. This unique, multi-function system provides you and your family with economically filtered water straight from the tap:
• Stage 1: Pre-Filtration - The pre-filter removes larger suspended solids dramatically extending the life of your NanoCeram® cartridge.
•
The AquaNano features a convenient spray/stream wand so you can direct the flow of water where you want it. This makes it easier to fill bottles and containers and to rinse vegetables and fruits.
•
A visual flow meter indicates when it is time to replace the NanoCeram® Cartridge to ensure your supply of filtered water is uninterrupted.
•
The AquaNano will effectively filter water for up to one year or 3,000 gallons/11,355 liters whichever comes first.
Safety Precautions
• Stage 2: Electropositive Filtration - The second stage utilizes NanoCeram® patented electropositive filtration media with dirt holding capacity and filtration efficiency for particles as small as a nanometer or .001 micron.
•
• Stage 3: Advanced Carbon Block Technology - The third stage utilizes carbon block technology and special leadsorbent media to absorb and reduce chlorine, lead, tastes and odors.
•
The AquaNano’s NanoCeram® Cartridge has a rated capacity of 11,355 liters (3,000 gallons) or one year which ever occurs first. The NanoCeram® Cartridge must be replaced when the indicator light flashes red. The actual capacity will depend on the amount of suspended solids and particles in your local water system. In certain water supplies, tastes or odors may return or the flow may decrease prior to the rated capacity. In these cases the NanoCeram® Cartridge should be replaced more often.
•
It is essential that you follow the operation and maintenance instructions enclosed for proper performance. Failure to follow the Use and Care instructions will void the warranty.
•
Do not use with water below 4˚C (40˚F).
• ∆ WARNING: Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection. Always replace the NanoCeram® filter cartridge when the indicator light turns red.
The AquaNano is equipped with an electronic flow meter to advise you when to reorder and to replace the NanoCeram® Cartridge.
NSF International System Tested and Certified by NSF International against NSF/ANSI Standards 42 & 53 for the reduction of chlorine, lead, and cysts.
This filter is engineered to filter municipally treated water in the home.
NOTE: Contaminants or other substances removed or reduced by this water treatment device are not necessarily in your water. Proper maintenance in accordance with the Use and Care must be followed.

Remove the AquaNano and cartridge(s) from their shipping boxes, remove packing materials, and compare box contents with the product diagram. (Figure 1.)
5. The length of the hose between the Inlet Assembly and the Diverter Valve Assembly may be adjusted if needed. You can feed the hose into the base from the diverter end and pull it out at the inlet end to make it longer.

Installation/Operation
1. Lift the cover from the base assembly. 2. Install two new AA, high quality batteries (not included) in the filter base.

3. Remove the NanoCeram® Cartridge and the Pre-Filter Cartridge from its plastic bags. 4. To install the NanoCeram® cartridge, place it into the locking plate on the base. Once inserted into the base, rotate the cartridge clockwise slightly to lock. Insert the Pre-Filter Cartridge into the locking plate at the top of the NanoCeram® Cartridge in the same way.

You can also feed the hose into the Base from the inlet end and pull it out the diverter end to make it shorter. Be sure not to pull the hose too tightly over the filter cartridge as this may restrict flow.

6. The Inlet Assembly attaches to the top of the Pre-Filter Cartridge. It is inserted the same way the cartridges connect. Rotate the Inlet Assembly approximately 1/8 turn clockwise so that the hose at the Wand side of the filter lines up with the Wand stem.

EN 9. Place the AquaNano on a flat counter surface near the sink. With the Wand pointing outward over the sink, turn on the water and divert it through the filter by turning the lever on the Diverter Valve 90°. Check for leaks.
7. Using padded or locking pliers, remove the existing aerator from your faucet.
8. Remove the protective wrap from the Diverter Valve assembly. NOTE: There is a flow restrictor provided. Be sure not to lose it when unwrapping the diverter vavle.
To stop the flow through the filter, turn off the faucet or turn the lever in the opposite direction. 10. Adjust the hose length to accommodate the cover. Be sure not to pull the hose too tightly over the filter cartridge as this may restrict flow. 11. Run water through the filter for 5 minutes to remove any small carbon particles and expel excess air.
12. The Wand will dispense water in either a steady stream or a spray. To switch between stream and spray, rotate the collar at the end of the Wand. Using the Flow Restrictor, thread the diverter valve onto the faucet, “hand–tighten” only. Do not over tighten as it could damage the threads.
NOTE: For best results, after sitting overnight or after several hours of non-use, run water through the filter for 1 minute before using.
NOTE: if the diverter valve is not compatible with your faucet, contact your local Customer Service to obtain assistance.

EN 13. Charge the system. To improve the flow rate and to reduce the “run on” of water after the faucet is turned off the system needs to be “charged”. Charging purges trapped air from the system.
Pour water into the top hole to fill the Nano Ceram cartridge.
Re-install the pre-filter cartridge and again pour in water into the top hole of the pre-filter cartridge until it is full.
Model UCU-200 CAL Installation/Operation
Reinsert the inlet assembly as indicated in step 6. Your system is now charged and ready to use. If you notice that the water flow continues for more than a few seconds, charge the system again to remove any residual trapped air.

Installation/Operation INSTALLING PULLOUT KITCHEN FAUCET 1. WARNING: Read all the instructions completely before proceeding. Rena Ware recommends calling a professional if you are uncertain about installing this product! This product should be installed in accordance with all local and state plumbing and building codes.
4. INSTALLING OPTIONAL DECK PLATE: (For single post mount, go to step 7) Place screws (4A) into Deck Plate slots. Set plastic bottom plate (4B) over the center hole on the sink, rounded edges up. Put a bead of plumbers’ putty around the inside bottom edge of Deck Plate (4C). Install the Deck Plate (4C) over the three holes in your sink.

2. SHUT OFF WATER SUPPLY: Locate water supply inlets and shut off the water supply valves. These are usually found under the sink or near the water meter. If you are replacing an existing faucet, remove the faucet from the sink and clean the sink surface thoroughly.

3. TOOLS RECOMMENDED: Plumber’s putty, slotted screwdriver, pliers, adjustable wrench, flashlight, and cloth. Your installation may require new supply lines and/or shut-off valves or other additional tools.
DO NOT USE TEFLON TAPE FOR ANY CONNECTIONS
5. SECURING DECK PLATE TO DECK: From underneath sink, hand-tighten wing nuts (5A). Caution: do not over tighten wing nuts. Remove any excess putty from around the outside edge of the Deck Plate (5B). (For 1-hole installation using the single post: Go To Step 7)

EN 6. INSTALLING THE FAUCET USING DECK PLATE: YOU WILL NEED TWO PEOPLE FOR INSTALLATION. Insert the faucet supply tubes (6A) and hose (6B) through the optional Deck Plate. Pull the pull-out hose out so that it’s end is above the ends of the supply tubes (see inset diagram below). This will make the installation of the washers and lock nut much easier From underneath the sink, place large rubber gasket (6C), lock washer (6D) and large brass nut (6E) over supply tubes (6A), hose (6B), and data cable (6F). Thread loosely onto faucet shank (6G).
CAUTION: To avoid cutting the data cable and disabling the indicator lights make sure that before tightening anything you first front-align the faucet body so that “Rena Ware” is centered and the spout and handle swing equally to the right and left. Once aligned, have one person hold the faucet firmly in place while the other person tightens the faucet to the sink. Adjusting the faucet after tightening to the sink will cut the data cable. Tighten faucet firmly to sink. Note: do not remove thin protective plastic bag (6H). Thread the connector (6I) onto hose (6B) and tighten.
7. SINGLE POST MOUNT INSTALLATION: YOU WILL NEED TWO PEOPLE FOR INSTALLATION. (Do not use optional Deck Plate, plastic bottom plate, screws, or wing nuts.) Insert Supply Tubes (7A), Hose (7B), and Data Cable (7C) through center hole of sink. Pull the pull-out hose out so that it’s end is above the ends of the supply tubes (see inset diagram below). This will make the installation of the washers and lock nut much easier. From underneath the sink, place large rubber gasket (7D), lock washer (7E) and large brass nut (7F) over Supply Tubes (7A), Hose (7B), and data cable (7C). Thread loosely onto faucet shank (7G).

EN 8. WATER SUPPLY CONNECTIONS: Gently separate hot and cold Supply Tubes (8A), approximately three inches apart. Connect Water Supply Lines (8C) to Faucet Inlets (8B). (Supply Lines and fittings are not included.)

EN 12. UNIT START UP: Turn on hot and cold water supplies, and check for leaks above and below the sink.
14. CHARGE THE SYSTEM. To improve the flow rate and to reduce the “run on” of water after the faucet is turned off the system needs to be “charged”. Charging purges trapped air from the system.
Run water through the system for about a minute to saturate the media. Remove the pre-filter cartridge being careful to minimize the water that spills onto the base unit.
13. FLUSHING THE FAUCET: To remove any small carbon particles and expel excess air, it will be necessary to flush the faucet. Remove plastic bag (13A) from the end of the hose (13B). Lift the faucet handle (13C) up to the full on position. Run water for 10 minutes alternating between the side faucet and filter to check for leaks.
Pour water into the top hole to fill the Nano Ceram® cartridge.
Re-install the pre-filter cartridge and again pour in water into the top hole of the pre-filter cartridge until it is full.

EN 15. INSTALLING THE SPRAY HEAD: Do not let hose (15C) retract into Faucet arm (15A). Connect the spray head (15B) to the pull-out hose (15C) by turning the metal hose fitting (15D) clockwise, hand tighten. CAUTION: do not over tighten.
17. SECURING INLET LINES: Do not cross the pullout hose (17B) with the inlet supply tubes (17A) to avoid binding, jamming and interference with the movement of the pull-out hose. NOTE: For best results, after sitting overnight or after several hours of non-use, run water through the filter for 1 minute before using.

Accessories 15B Stage Zero Filter In areas where the amount of sediments in the water is very high, the Pre-Filter cartridge can clog quicker than expected. The Stage Zero external filter removes the larger particles to prevent this from happening. 16. ATTACHING WEIGHT TO PULLOUT HOSE: Your faucet includes a weight, to help to retract the hose during pullout operation. Attach weight (16A) to the hose using spring clip (16B) at the lowest point on the hose (16C).
It can be easily back-flushed and replaced to allow your Aqua Nano system to filter the very small things it was designed to remove and let you go longer between PreFilter back-flushes and NanoCeram cartridge replacements. To extend the life of the Aqua Nano UCU-200 filter cartridges, you may wants to use unfiltered water for tasks such as dishwashing, household cleaning or watering plants that do not require filtration. The side faucet will allow you to bypass the filter and have a source of unfiltered water at the kitchen sink.

Care & Maintenance Cleaning the Exterior of the AquaNano To clean the exterior of your filter, use a clean, damp cloth and mild, nonabrasive soap. To clean the exterior of your faucet, filter cartridges, and base unit, use a clean, damp cloth and mild, non-abrasive liquid soap. Do not use dishwashing soap. Wipe down with cloth. Use of polish, detergents, abrasives, cleaners, organic solvents, or acid may cause damage. USE OF OTHER THEN A DAMP SOFT CLOTH AND MILD LIQUID SOAP WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY.
NOTE: DO NOT SUBMERGE CTU OR UCU UNIT OR LET STAND IN WATER. EXCESSIVE MOISTURE INSIDE THE UNIT WILL DAMAGE IT AND VOID THE WARRANTY.
Non-Functioning Flow Meter If the electronic flow meter stops functioning, reset the meter by using the following procedures: 1. Remove the battery compartment door in the bottom of the base by unscrewing the two screws and by gently prying the door open using a flat screwdriver at the point shown in the diagram.

2. Remove the old batteries, wait 20 seconds, and then replace with two new high quality AA batteries. 3. Replace the NanoCeram® filter cartridge. 4. The unit will reset to its default settings.

Your AquaNano features a visual flow meter integrated into the base of the faucet. When water is flowing through your filter, LED (light emitting diode) lights will flash to indicate the following: •
F I LT E R I N G The blue light indicates that the unit is functioning normally.

R E O R D E R The yellow warning light lets you know approximately 1,893
liters (500 gallons) of life is left in the NanoCeram® Cartridge. Contact your Rena Ware Consultant or Rena Ware Customer Service Center to order a replacement. The blue F I LT E R I N G light also indicates that your filter is still working. •
R E P L AC E The red warning light indicates the NanoCeram® Cartridge’s
effective life has ended. The blue F I LT E R I N G light will not illuminate. Replace the NanoCeram® Cartridge before continuing to use your filter.

EN 5. Invert the Pre-Filter cartridge and place the Back-Flow Adaptor on the outlet nipple of the Pre-Filter.
Back-Flushing, cleaning & replacing the Pre-Filter EM Media and the NanoCeram® Cartridge To properly maintain the Pre-filter, it should be regularly back-flushed and cleaned (up to 3 times) whenever an important reduction in the flow occurs. The disposable EM Media Insert should be replaced when these procedures fail to restore acceptable flow. NOTE: The back-flushing process will require two people. NEVER BACK-FLUSH THE NANOCERAM® CARTRIDGE. BACK-FLUSHING THE NANOCERAM® CARTRIDGE WILL DAMAGE THE INTERNAL STRUCTURE CAUSING THE FILTER TO BE INEFFECTIVE. BACK-FLUSHING THE NANOCERAM® CARTRIDGE CAN ALSO CONTAMINATE THE MEDIA DOWNSTREAM OF NANOCERAM® MEDIA IF DAMAGED, IT WILL NO LONGER FILTER THE WATER.
1. Make sure the water is turned off.
6. Insert the outlet nipple of the Inlet Assembly into the other end of the Back-Flush Adapter and keep pressure on it. Hold the inverted Pre-Filter over the sink, a bucket or some other receptacle that can hold at least 2 gallons (7.5 liters).

2. Remove the back-flow adapter from the Inlet Assembly.
7. Have a second person turn on the water. When the water is turned on, there will be a small amount of back pressure forcing the Inlet Assembly out of the Back-Flush Adapter so you must hold the Inlet Assembly, BackFlush Adapter, and Pre-Filter together to keep pressure on it and keep them from coming apart. 3. Remove the Inlet Assembly by turning it counterclockwise until it releases.
8. Allow the water to run for 5 minutes, shake the cartridge and tap it against the sink until the flow rate has increased 9. Open the housing by turning the top counterclockwise

EN 10. To remove the media insert from the housing, grab the base of the housing with both hands and push the end cap of the media insert forward using your thumbs. Once loose discard or rinse off.
Temporarily reconnect the inlet assembly to the filter base. Wash the reusable housing and rinse off the media insert with water and dry. When washing the media mild rubbing is acceptable. If the exterior of the media is scrubbed too hard it can be damaged permanently. DO NOT USE SOAP.
11. Insert the Media with the outlet nipple pointing down and the punt up.
NOTE: The Pre-Filter and the NanoCeram® are not necessarily replaced at the same time and the led indicator lights refer only to the NanoCeram® cartridge, therefore, replace it when the flow meter’s red warning light flashes. It will also be time to replace your batteries. 13. Repeat Step #3. For the NanoCeram® remove the cartridge by turning it counterclockwise until it releases and discard used cartridge.
14. Remove the battery compartment door in the bottom of the base by unscrewing the two screws and by gently prying the door open using a flat screwdriver.
12. Close the housing by turning the top clockwise until the arrows marked on the housing are almost aligned and reinstall. 15. Remove the old batteries, wait 20 seconds, and then replace with two new high quality AA batteries. This will reset the flow meter to “0” and the LED lights will start flashing again when water is flowing through the filter. 16. Unpack the new NanoCeram® Cartridge and install, charge both cartridges, and reassemble as detailed in the “SET UP” section. NOTE: Note that back-flushing and rinsing will improve flow but will not restore the Pre-Filter cartridge to “like new” condition. The improvement will be less each time you back-flush and rinse, until it is necessary to replace the Pre-Filter cartridge to restore the flow rate to an acceptable level. 30
17. Run water for 2 minutes, to remove any carbon particles and expel any trapped air.

Troubleshooting
Replacement Parts
1. Water is not coming out of the UCU-200 spray faucet head…
NOTE: Always use genuine Rena Ware replacement parts.
• Make sure the source water valves are turned on. • Make sure the tubing is smooth and straight, without kinks. 2. Water is not coming out of the CTU-200 wand… • Turn the diverter valve to the proper “on” position.

• Remove the diverter valve and make sure the flow regulator is placed in the right position and is not blocked by any residue.

3. Water leaks out from between the filter cartridges or at the filter inlet assembly or filter base…

• Separate the cartridges at the point of the leak. Each of the cartridges, and the filter inlet, should have two o-rings on the raised outlet found between the three feet. Check to ensure that the o-rings are in place and properly seated in the grooves provided for them. 4. Water leaks from the tubing… • For CTU-200 model: If water is leaking at the diverter valve, unscrew the collar at the inlet of the diverter valve and push the tubing firmly over the diverter valve barb. Make sure the inlet tube is attached to the barb of the diverter valve. Slide the collar back along the tubing to the diverter inlet and screw it in place firmly. • For both CTU & UCU-200 models: Check the tubing for cuts or nicks. 5. Water continues to flow out of the spray head after water is turned off… • Water may continue to flow from the spray head for a short time due to a build-up of pressure within the filter but will typically stop by itself. • Trapped air in the filter may force water out after the tap has been turned off. To eliminate the trapped air, fill the Cartridges with water until you see water leaking through the top hole of the Cartridges. This is known as “charging” the cartridge and is done manually with the inlet assembly removed from the top of the filter cartridge. See “Charging the system”. 6. The AquaNano Limited Warranty Rena Ware warrants its AquaNano water filtration systems to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase. This Product is for home use on municipally treated water only. The Warranty does not cover damage resulting from use of the Product on water having high chemical interference, suspended materials or visual solids. The Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear of valving connections, o-rings, rubber and plastic parts, or filter cartridges. The Warranty does not cover defects resulting from misuse, abuse, negligence, accident, use of the Product in a manner other than as described in the instructions and on the specifications label, repairs or alteration outside a Rena Ware facility, or lack of maintenance. Use of replacement parts other than genuine Rena Ware replacement parts or removal of the specifications label will void this Warranty. The Warranty does not cover incidental or consequential damages resulting from the use of this Product.

El AquaNano utiliza tecnología electropositiva como parte de un sistema de filtración en etapas múltiples de alto flujo con caída de presión limitada. Este sistema multifuncional único le brinda a usted y a su familia agua filtrada a bajo costo directo del grifo: • Etapa 1: Prefiltración - La prefiltración elimina los sólidos suspendidos de mayor tamaño, lo que extiende considerablemente la vida de su cartucho NanoCeram®. • Etapa 2: Filtración electropositiva - La segunda etapa utiliza medios de filtración electropositiva NanoCeram® patentados con capacidad de absorción de impurezas y eficiencia en filtración de partículas pequeñas hasta de un nanómetro o .001 micrones. • Etapa 3: Tecnología avanzada de bloque de carbón - La tercera etapa utiliza tecnología de bloque de carbón y un medio absorbente especial para absorber y reducir cloro, plomo, sabores y olores. Saque el AquaNano y los cartuchos de sus cajas, retire los materiales de embalaje y compare el contenido de las cajas con el diagrama del producto. (Figura 1)
5. Se puede ajustar la longitud de la manguera entre la caja de entrada y la válvula de desviación, de ser necesario. Inserte la manguera en la base por la entrada ubicada en la parte trasera y sáquela por la boca de entrada para alargarla.

6. La caja de entrada se conecta encima del cartucho del prefiltro. Se inserta de la misma forma en que se conectan los cartuchos. Gire la caja de entrada aproximadamente 1/8 en sentido de las manecillas del reloj para que la manguera del lado de la varilla del filtro esté alineada con la boquilla de la varilla.

9. Coloque el AquaNano sobre una superficie plana del mueble de la cocina, cerca del fregadero. Con la varilla apuntando hacia el fregadero, abra la llave de agua y desvíe el agua hacia el filtro girando la palanca de la válvula de desviación 90 grados. Compruebe que no haya fugas.
7. Con la ayuda de un alicate o alicate de sujeción, retire el aireador instalado en su grifo.

12. La varilla surtirá agua en chorro o tipo lluvia. Para cambiar entre los dos tipos, gire el cuello por el borde de la varilla. Coloque el reductor de flujo y enrosque la válvula de desviación en el grifo apretándola con la mano. No la apriete demasiado, ya que podría dañar la rosca.
NOTA: Para obtener mejores resultados, a primera hora del día o después de varias horas sin uso, haga correr agua por el filtro por un minuto antes de usarlo.
Nota: Si la válvula de desviación no es compatible con su grifo, comuníquese con el Servicio al Cliente de su localidad para obtener ayuda.

13. Cargue el sistema. Para mejorar el flujo y reducir la “fuga” de agua luego de cerrar la llave de agua, se debe “cargar” el sistema, ya que esto purga el aire atrapado en el mismo.

Vuelva a instalar el cartucho del prefiltro y vierta agua nuevamente por el orificio superior de este hasta llenarlo.

Instalación/Funcionamiento INSTALACIÓN DEL GRIFO DE COCINA EXTRAÍBLE 1. ADVERTENCIA: Lea todas las instrucciones antes de comenzar. ¡Rena Ware recomienda llamar a un profesional si no está seguro de cómo instalar este producto! El filtro se debe instalar de conformidad con las normas de plomería y construcción locales y estatales.
4. INSTALACIÓN DE LA PLACA BASE OPCIONAL: (Vaya al paso 7 para instalaciones con un solo orificio). Coloque los tornillos (4A) en los orificios de la placa base. Coloque la placa inferior de plástico (4B) sobre el orificio central del fregadero, con los bordes redondeados hacia arriba. Coloque un poco de masilla de plomero alrededor del borde inferior interno de la placa base (4C). Instale la placa base (4C) sobre los tres orificios del fregadero.
2. CIERRE LA LLAVE DE PASO DE AGUA: Ubique las entradas de suministro de agua y cierre las llaves de paso. Por lo general se encuentran debajo del fregadero o cerca del medidor de agua. Si va a reemplazar un grifo, retírelo y limpie bien la superficie del fregadero.

12. PUESTA EN FUNCIONAMIENTO DE LA UNIDAD: Abra las llaves de paso de agua caliente y fría y compruebe que no haya fugas encima ni debajo del fregadero.
14. CARGA DEL SISTEMA. Para mejorar el caudal y reducir la “fuga” de agua luego de cerrar la llave de agua, se debe “cargar” el sistema, ya que esto purga el aire atrapado en el mismo. Deje correr agua por el sistema durante un minuto aproximadamente para saturar el cartucho del prefiltro y luego sáquelo con cuidado para no derramar agua en la base de la unidad.
13. LAVADO DEL GRIFO A PRESIÓN: Para eliminar partículas pequeñas de carbón y exceso de aire, deberá dejar correr agua por el grifo. Retire la bolsa plástica (12A) del extremo de la manguera (12B). Levante la palanca del grifo (12C) por completo y deje correr agua por 10 minutos alternando entre el grifo lateral y el filtro para comprobar si hay fugas.
Vierta agua por el orificio superior para llenar el cartucho NanoCeram®.

15. INSTALACIÓN DEL CABEZAL ASPERSOR: No permita que la manguera (15C) se retraiga al brazo del grifo (15A). ADVERTENCIA: No lo apriete demasiado.

Limpieza exterior del AquaNano Use un trapo limpio húmedo y jabón neutro no abrasivo para limpiar la parte exterior del filtro. Use un trapo limpio húmedo y jabón neutro no abrasivo para limpiar la parte exterior del grifo, los cartuchos del filtro y la base de la unidad. No use jabón lavaplatos. Pásele un trapo. Usar pulituras, detergentes, sustancias abrasivas, limpiadores, solventes orgánicos o ácido puede dañar la unidad. USAR IMPLEMENTOS DISTINTOS A UN TRAPO LIMPIO HÚMEDO Y JABÓN NEUTRO ANULARÁ LA GARANTÍA. NOTA: No sumerja la unidad CTU o UCU en agua ni la deje en remojo. El exceso de humedad en el interior de la unidad la dañará y anulará la garantía.

5. Voltee el cartucho del prefiltro y coloque el adaptador de flujo de retorno sobre la boquilla de salida del prefiltro.
Lavado con flujo invertido a presión, limpieza y reemplazo del prefiltro EM y del cartucho NanoCeram® Para mantener adecuadamente el prefiltro, se debe lavar con flujo invertido a presión y limpiar regularmente (hasta tres veces) siempre que haya una reducción de flujo significativa. El elemento desechable EM se debe reemplazar cuando estos procedimientos no restauran un flujo aceptable. NOTA: Se necesitan dos personas para realizar este procedimiento. Nunca lave el cartucho NanoCeram® con flujo invertido a presión. Si lo hace, dañará y contaminará su estructura interna haciendo que el filtro pierda su efectividad. Si lo daña, dejará de filtrar agua.
1. Asegúrese de que la llave del agua esté cerrada.
6. Inserte la boquilla de salida de la caja de entrada en el otro extremo del adaptador de flujo de retorno y ejerza presión sobre el mismo. Sostenga el prefiltro invertido sobre el fregadero, u otro contenedor de al menos 2 galones (7.5 litros) de capacidad.

Cuando la abra, habrá un poco de contrapresión que tratará de sacar la caja de entrada del adaptador de flujo de retorno, por lo que deberá mantener juntas la caja de entrada, el adaptador de flujo de retorno y el prefiltro ejerciendo presión sobre ellos para evitar que se separen. 3. Retire la caja de entrada girándola en sentido contrario a las manecillas del reloj hasta que se afloje.
8. Deje correr agua por cinco minutos, sacuda el cartucho y dele golpecitos contra el fregadero hasta que el caudal haya aumentado. 9. Abra el alojamiento girándolo en sentido contrario a las manecillas del reloj.
4. Retire el cartucho del prefiltro del cartucho NanoCeram® girándolo en sentido contrario a las manecillas del reloj hasta que se afloje.

10. Para retirar el elemento desechable del alojamiento, sujete la base de este con las dos manos y empuje la parte superior del elemento desechable hacia arriba con los dos pulgares. Luego de sacarlo, deséchelo o lávelo.
Vuelva a conectar temporalmente la caja de entrada a la base del filtro. Lave el alojamiento reusable y enjuague el elemento desechable con agua y seque. Cuando lave el elemento desechable puede frotarlo un poco. Si la parte externa del elemento desechable se frota muy duro, se podrá dañar permanentemente. NO USE JABÓN
11. Inserte el elemento desechable con la boquilla de salida hacia abajo y la parte plana hacia arriba.
12. Cierre el alojamiento girando la parte superior en sentido contrario a las manecillas del reloj hasta que las flechas que aparecen en él estén prácticamente alineadas, y reinstálelo.
NOTA: El Prefiltro y el NanoCeram® no se reemplazan necesariamente al mismo tiempo, y las luces led solo indicarán el estado del Cartucho NanoCeram®, por lo tanto, reemplácelo cuando titile la luz roja de advertencia del medidor de flujo. También deberá reemplazar las baterías.
13. Repita el paso 3. Para cambiar el cartucho NanoCeram®, sáquelo girándolo en sentido contrario a las manecillas del reloj hasta que se afloje y deséchelo.
14. Retire la tapa del compartimiento de baterías que está en la parte inferior de la base, desatornillando los dos tornillos y levantando la tapa con cuidado con un destornillador punta plana.
15. Retire las baterías, espere 20 segundos, y luego instale dos baterías AA nuevas de buena calidad. Esto reinicializará el medidor de flujo en “0” y las luces LED titilarán nuevamente cuando se haga correr agua por el filtro. 16. Saque el nuevo cartucho NanoCeram® de su empaque, instálelo y cárguelo como se indica en la sección “INSTALACIÓN”.
NOTA: El lavado con flujo invertido a presión y el enjuague mejorarán el flujo pero no harán que el cartucho del prefiltro quede “como nuevo”. Esto funcionará cada vez menos, hasta que sea necesario reemplazar el cartucho del prefiltro para restaurar el flujo a un nivel aceptable. 62
17. Deje correr agua fría por dos minutos para eliminar partículas de carbón y aire atrapado.

3. Sale agua entre los cartuchos del filtro, o en la caja de entrada del filtro o en la base del filtro… • Separe los cartuchos donde exista la fuga de agua. Cada cartucho y la entrada del filtro deberían tener dos juntas tóricas en el orificio de salida elevado que se encuentra entre las tres patas. Compruebe que las juntas tóricas estén en su lugar y bien colocadas en las ranuras correspondientes.

4. Hay fuga de agua en el tubo… • Para el modelo CTU-200: Si hay fuga de agua en la válvula de desviación, desenrosque el cuello en la entrada de la válvula y empuje el tubo firmemente sobre la punta de la válvula de desviación. Asegúrese de que el tubo de entrada esté conectado a la punta de la válvula de desviación. Deslice el cuello a su posición por el tubo hasta la entrada de la válvula de desviación y enrósquelo firmemente en su lugar. • Para el CTU y el UCU-200: Verifique que el tubo no esté roto ni tenga hendiduras. 5. Verifique que el tubo no esté roto ni tenga hendiduras… • Puede seguir saliendo agua por el cabezal aspersor por corto tiempo debido a la presión contenida en el filtro, pero dejará de salir. • El aire atrapado en el filtro puede hacer que salga agua después de haber cerrado la llave de agua. Para eliminar el aire retenido, llene los cartuchos con agua hasta que vea salir agua a través del orificio superior de los cartuchos. Esto se conoce como “cargar” el cartucho y se hace manualmente sin la caja en la parte superior del cartucho del filtro. Consulte la sección “Carga del sistema”. 6. Las luces en el cuello del grifo o en la base no funcionan… • Asegúrese de que el cable de datos esté bien conectado al puerto de datos.

La Garantía Limitada de AquaNano Rena Ware garantiza que sus sistemas de filtración de agua AquaNano están libres de defectos de materiales y de fabricación durante un año contado a partir de la fecha de compra. Este Producto se debe usar en los hogares con agua tratada por el municipio solamente. Esta Garantía no cubre daños que resulten del uso del producto con agua que tenga mucha interferencia química, materiales suspendidos o partículas sólidas visibles. Esta Garantía no cubre el desgaste normal de las conexiones de válvulas, juntas tóricas, piezas de caucho o plástico ni cartuchos del filtro. Esta Garantía no cubre los defectos que resulten del uso inadecuado, abuso, negligencia, accidentes, uso del Producto de un modo diferente al que se describe en las instrucciones y en la etiqueta de las especificaciones, reparaciones o alteraciones efectuadas fuera de los locales de Rena Ware, o por falta de mantenimiento. El usar piezas de reemplazo que no sean piezas de reemplazo verdaderas de Rena Ware o quitar la etiqueta de las especificaciones cancelará esta Garantía. Esta Garantía no cubre los daños incidentales o consecuentes que resulten del uso de este Producto.
Alcance de la Garantía Según lo estime conveniente, Rena Ware reparará o reemplazará el Producto, o cualquier parte del mismo, que haya sido determinado como defectuoso. Modo de efectuar la Garantía Para obtener servicio bajo la Garantía debe enviar una descripción detallada, por escrito, del defecto alegado al Centro de Servicio de Rena Ware más cercano. Tal vez se le solicite que devuelva el Producto, por su cuenta, al Centro de Servicio de Rena Ware más cercano a su localidad con el objeto de brindarle el servicio bajo la garantía. Tal vez se le solicite también que proporcione una constancia de su compra. Si después de la inspección, Rena Ware determina que existe un defecto cubierto por la Garantía, Rena Ware asumirá el costo de la devolución del producto.
Otras limitaciones de la Garantía Esta Garantía se ofrece en lugar de toda otra garantía explícita.
