• 1/8” Drill Bit (for fiberglass stall)

1

• 3/16” Masonry Drill Bit (for tile stall)

Allen Wrench

If you find that any parts are damaged or missing, refer to the parts list and IPB Drawing and contact Contractors Wardrobe®’s Customer Service Department at 661-257-1177. NOTE: Views and directions given in these instructions — left, right, front, back, etc. — are from outside of the enclosure, facing the shower.

• 7/64” Drill Bit • Pencil • Hammer • Miter Box and Hacksaw with 32 teeth/inch blade • Caulking Gun and one Tube of Clear Tub/Tile Silicone • Tape Measure

STEP 2 Removing the Existing Enclosure

• Safety Glasses CAUTION: Wear safety glasses whenever drilling or cutting. Handle the frameless glass panel carefully. The corners of the panel can damage tile and floor covering. Tempered glass cannot be cut. Do NOT let the corners of the frameless Door Panel strike any hard surface, wall or floor. Even tempered glass may be shattered in this manner.

Remove existing shower door and all existing parts to that door assembly. Remove all screw anchors from the wall. Remove silicone sealant or tub caulking and any other contaminants from shower.

STEP 3 Installing the Adjustable Pivot Jamb

STEP 1 Checking Contents of Shower Door Package

NOTE: The wall opposite the shower head and controls will be the pivot side. Some situations may require the door to pivot on the same side as the shower head and controls.

DO NOT use a razor blade to cut open the paper wrapping as you may scratch the contents. Use the IPB Drawing to help you locate the following parts: No. Qty.

STEP 6

Installing the Pivot Cleats

A.

Locate these parts: Two Pivot Cleats (#6), four #10-32 x 5/16” Allen Screws (#21) and the Top Pivot Bushing (#13).

B.

Remove the End Cap (#19) from the pivot side of both the top and bottom Pivot Rails (#7). Slide a Pivot Cleat (#6) into the top Pivot Rail (#7) and position it so that one end of the Pivot Cleat (#6) is flush with the hinge edge of the top Pivot Rail (#7). Next, slide the second Pivot Cleat (#6) into the bottom groove of the bottom Pivot Rail (#7).

Apply the measurement from Step 6C to the glass door. Start the tape at the edge of the glass (on the handle side), mark the door with the net measurement from Step 6C. Using the marked measurement from the door, use the Allen Wrench to tighten the Pivot Cleat (#6) with two #10-32 x 5/16" Allen Screws (#21).

E.

Insert an End Cap (#19) into the each end of the top and bottom Pivot Rails (#7).

F.

Use the Allen Wrench to loosely secure the top two #10-32 x 5/16” Allen Screws (#21) to the Pivot Cleats (#6) in place. DO NOT TIGHTEN COMPLETELY AT THIS TIME.

Pivot Cleat

NOTE: Installing the Door may be slightly easier with another person assisting you. A.

Locate the Top Pivot Bushing (#13). Place the Top Pivot Bushing (#13) over the pin on the top Pivot Cleat (#6).

B.

Carefully lift the door and set the bottom Pivot Cleat (#6) pin into the Bottom Pivot Bushing (#14) (See Figure 6).

C.

Lift the top Adjustable Pivot Jamb Bracket (#2) and align the top Pivot Cleat (#6) pin and Top Pivot Bushing (#13) with the hole in the top Adjustable Pivot Jamb Bracket (#2). Lower the Adjustable Pivot Jamb Bracket (#2) onto the pin and Top Pivot Bushing (#13) and tighten the three top screws (See Figure 6).

D.

Close the door and adjust it so that there is a 1/8” gap along the entire length of the door on the strike side. With the Allen Wrench tighten the top two #10-32 x 5/16” Allen Screws (#21), maintaining the 1/8” clearance.

Figure 5

C.

To determine the location of the Pivot Cleat (#6), you must first measure the opening. Facing outside of the shower, measure starting at the edge of the Slip Jamb Female (#4) to the center of the Bottom Pivot Bushing (#14) (See Figure 5A). Take this measurement and subtract 1/8" from the total. For example if this measurement is 36-1/8", the net number would be 36". This will allow for the door handle. Write this measurement down.
