Introduction HEMAYATI is mobile smart phone application which exemplifies the Higher Leadership’s directives of ensuring safety and security for socety in the United Arab Emirates, especialy children. HEMAYATI was launched by the Ministry of Interior in response to a number of parents having requested a means of being able to know the whereabouts of their children. The application includes a safety feature, which when utilized, will enable a parent to locate his/her registered child at any time as well as enable registered family members to communicate securely with each other via an instant messaging facility. The smartphone application, exclusive to the United Arab Emirates,

Access to the application is limited to families with children. The application process can only be initiated by the parent that is the direct visa sponsor of the children to be registered on the service. Emirates Identity Card numbers are required for all family members who will use the application. The mobile phone number of the parent who is applying for the application will be required. The application is available for iPhones, Blackberry’s, Androids, and Windows.

Registration Process 1. Download the HEMYATI application on your mobile device. 2. A dialogue box will appear asking you to register or login. 3. If youhave not already registered, click on the link entitled ‘Register Here’ at the bottom of the page. 4. A new window will open and you should enter your 15 digit Emirates ID number that starts with 784. 5. Click the ‘Next’ button at the bottom of the page for the server to verify your eligibility to use the application. 6. A window will open asking you

Using Application 1. Family members can be electronically registered through the applications main menu. 2. You can only use the application after entering the details of your spouse. Go to ‘Add Spouse’ page to enter the details of the spouse. Details required include: Emirates ID number, first name, family name and email address. 3. An email notification with the link for downloading and using the application will be sent to the spouse so that the registration process can be completed. 4. Now the initial applicant can start

using the application (even if the spouse’s registration process is still pending). 5. To add a new member to the family group, go to the main menu page and enter his or her Emirates ID number. Click ‘Add Member’. 6. To add a pre-determined destination, go to the main menu page, click on the + sign and enter the name of the destination. Search the map to find the exact location of the destination. You can choose ‘Current Location’ to find your present location on the map. Now click on ‘Add Place’.
