Thank you for purchasing the MANHATTAN ® MLX Wireless Laser Mini Mouse, Model 177139. Combining a modern design with advanced performance, the MLX features an under-mount push-button that instantly shifts resolution (800/1200/1600 dpi) to suit a wide range of applications. The retractable USB cable reel maintains a proper cord length, reduces tangles and neatly stores in the carrying bag for travel, and, with auto power management and an on/off switch to help maintain proper battery levels, the cable recharges the MLX while it’s in use for uninterrupted operation. The easy-to-follow instructions in this manual help make installation of the mouse quick and simple, so you’ll also soon be enjoying the benefits of these additional features: • 2.4 GHz RF technology offers wireless freedom with effective range up to 7 m (30 ft.) • Compact size, ambidextrous shape and no-slip texture provide secure grip • Low-friction base smoothly glides over work surfaces • Plug and Play installation — Windows and Mac compatible • Lifetime Warranty Package Contents • MLX Wireless Laser Mini Mouse with USB Micro Receiver • (2) AAA rechargeable batteries and retractable cable reel • User manual and carrying bag FCC Statement This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause

harmful interference to radio or television reception — which can be determined by turning the equipment off and then back on — the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures: • Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. • Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. • Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. • Consult your MANHATTAN dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.

installation/setup Batteries On the underside of the mouse, with the USB micro receiver removed, push the battery compartment cover release inward to access the battery compartment. Insert the two AAA rechargeable batteries (included), matching the polarity indicators on the inside of the compartment. Replace the cover, pressing gently till it clicks in place. Battery Charging If the Low Power light flashes, re-charge or change the batteries. To re-charge, connect the mouse to the computer with the USB cable. The mouse can be used while the batteries charge; a full charge requires 8-10 hours. To stop charging, unplug the cable.

• Operate the mouse within 7 m (30 ft.) of the receiver. • Place the mouse on a white or light-colored surface — such as a MANHATTAN laser mousepad — for optimal performance. • When recharging, the actual charging time depends on the degree of the discharge. • When the mouse is not in use, set the Power Switch to Off. If the mouse will not be used for an extended period of time or if you transport the device outdoors, it’s best to remove the batteries. • During transport, store the USB micro receiver in the slot on the underside of the mouse (sliding it over the battery compartment cover release). • The mouse automatically enters a sleep mode after a period of inactivity to save power. Press any key or scroll to wake it. • Laser synchronization is automatic: No settings are necessary.
