Wed 2nd CWI
Richard and Barbara’s team is organising an Après-Midi Amical at the Welcome centre on Saturday 5th April. As Easter is close, the presentation involves travel in a time machine to find out what really happened 2000 years ago. Please pray for good attendance from their island friends and for the message to be clearly understood. A Jewish friend of Grace Lan who came to faith in Jesus a few years ago was due to be baptised in March. She came under pressure from her family and was called a traitor to her people. This was a severe emotional strain and, just days before the baptism, Grace received a text message: ‘Baptism cancelled.’ However, she then went ahead and was baptised with a group of former Muslims. Pray that these brave people will be kept safe and that God will grant them grace to remain faithful, whatever the cost.
Thurs 3rd SFR
Please give thanks that there has been an increase in the number of patients accessing Diakonia’s palliative care service. However much prayer is needed to change hearts in a corrupt healthcare system!
Fri 4th
Catriona tells us that pupils enjoy a No-Uniform Day today to raise funds for children living in shanty towns on the outskirts of Lima. Pray that this would encourage the pupils to have compassion and generosity for the many poor people in their city.
Peru

Praise the Lord for a successful Rededication of the South Africa Dumisani building and the Awards Ceremony. They had a super weekend of celebrations. Mon 7th AIM Uganda
Tues 8th
What can a publisher do to speak into the current climate of hostility and uncertainty in Ukraine? In March Colloquium released their Russian edition of Miroslav' Wolf's book Exclusion and Embrace, a powerful message of forgiveness and reconciliation. Pray that it would help many readers with understanding and healing. Marsali says ‘We're delighted at the new children that we've been able to rescue from the streets, and also some that have come to us, via the police, abandoned and with no known history/family. It is a privilege to be a part of this amazing 'front-line' ministry - to quote Rita, our visionary leader and director "rescuing the children from a place of hopelessness to a place of hope, in Jesus"’. Pray for her in this work.
Peru
Karen asks us to continue to pray for wisdom in developing the project, in particular how to reach out to the most in need of the services we have.
Wed 9th SOS
James is beginning a Friday night discipleship Bible study to help students think about how to live as a Christian in their

Uganda
were able to get to a decent hospital and she's now recovering well post-op. Children have a variety of 'special needs', either from birth, malnutrition causing lower brain development, hearing/eyesight/speech challenges - each child is unique, and they are determined to endeavour to achieve optimum holistic health!
Thurs 17th James and Vicki are planning a Good Friday event at their SOS flat followed by attending the Good Friday service in Glasgow City. Pray that the significance of Easter would become clear to students, and that this time of friendship would be used to point people to the love of Jesus. Fri 18th

Pray also for many of the Dumisani students who travel to churches far away for the Easter weekend, because many people lose their lives on the South African roads over this period. Sat 19th AIM Chad
