Pad, Cloth & Mitt Features WET PADS
HIGHPERFORMANCE WET PADS This twisted loop pad is a blend of microfiber and polyester for strength and ease of use. Edges are double finished… overlock-stitched then bound with polyester grosgrain piping for added durability. As evidence, this construction has been proven to withstand over 300 commercial launderings. Wet padsare suitable for routine mopping and capable of efficiently and effectively removing dust, dirt and bacteria from almost any hard surface. Available in three sizes, 11”, 18” and 24”.
SPECIALTY PADS
FINISH PADS This pad is traditionally colored and optimally configured for a smooth, even application of floor finish. The unique trapezoidal shape conforms to the frame and protects baseboards, furniture and equipment, allowing faster, hassle-free application. The foam liner controls liquid release and ensures good surface contact.
SCRUBBER PADS COLOR-CODED WET PADS To help prevent cross-contamination, colored bindings are now available to quickly identify 18” Wet Pads by use or area.
WET PAD WITH SCRUBBER For extra cleaning power, use your foot to flip over the non-woven, scratch resistant scrubber flap and rub to remove stubborn spots or heel marks quickly and easily. Available in 18” and 24” sizes.
HIGH ABSORBENCY PAD Until now, microfiber pads were not designed to address big spills. Use this uniquely constructed mop with absorbent looped fringe to “pick-up” 24 oz. of liquid.
The distinctive pattern of vertically aligned polypropylene scrubber stripes is ideal for cleaning into tile grout lines as well as for removing sticky spots and dried on foods.
DRY/DUSTING PADS
CLEANING & DUSTING BY HAND
ROOM AND HALL DUSTING PADS These pads feature an 8mm high-pile surface densely woven from 100% microfiber to collect and hold dirt electrostatically. The cleaning surface is more than 40 times greater than that of regular cotton fiber. The larger hall pads (24” to 48”) have an additional foam liner to insure mop contact across irregular surfaces.
DUSTING PAD WITH FRINGE
SPECIALTY CLOTHS These generously-sized, 100% microfiber cloths feature double finished edges ... wrap-stitched and stayed ... for durability and shape retention. They are non-abrasive and highly absorbent, able to pick up seven times their own weight in liquid. While all attract and hold dust electrostatically, they can be used dry or slightly dampened with water for cleaning ... no chemicals are needed. Each cloth option is woven and color-coded by application ... terry finish for General Purpose and Bathroom and flat woven for Glass and Mirror. The General Purpose Cloth is also offered in an extra large size.
This high-pile, 18” microfiber pad features foam cushioning as well as a 2” looped fringe to more effectively grab and hold dust particles and larger debris.
DOUBLE SIDED MITTS Mitts provide greater control in cleaning. They fully cover the hand and securely fit with a wristlet. The thumb shape provides flexibility for cleaning into crevices and around irregular surfaces. While one size fits most, they are best used in pairs for added efficiency. Mitts are available for two applications ... General Purpose and Glass/Mirror cleaning.
DUSTER SLEEVES Duster sleeves provide superior cleaning performance with their 13mm high-pile, 100% microfiber construction. When attached to the appropriate dusting tool, these sleeves electrostatically collect dust and other irritating allergens from hard-to-reach places.
WHAT IS MICROFIBER? Microfiber is a material blended from polyester and polyamide (nylon). These individual “poly” fibers are first knitted into cloth and then treated with chemicals during a mechanical process that “splits” the larger poly fibers into “microfibers.” Technically, microfiber is defined as a fiber with a weight/length of 1 denier or less. Rubbermaid Commercial Products’ Microfiber is “Ultra Fine Quality” (0.2 denier or less), which is 0.13 denier. The microscopic size of microfibers permits them to clean better, since they can reach into the tiny pockets in surfaces and “grab” the dirt. The spaces around the microfibers provide more surface area for trapping dirt and bacteria. This is in sharp contrast with the relatively large size of cotton and rayon fibers in conventional mops that tend to “push” the dirt around instead of picking it up.

What happens to microfiber if fabric softener is used in the laundering process? Fabric softener coats and clogs the microfiber strands making them less effective in cleaning. This effect can be reversed by re-laundering according to instructions. What happens if bleach is used on microfiber products? Using chlorine bleach will aggressively degrade any microfiber product. There is no way to reverse the effect. A better alternative is oxygen bleach which is safe for use with microfiber. Can a germicide be used to clean microfiber pads instead of laundering? No, laundering with a detergent is required to emulsify dirt, grime and oils. Can microfiber products be autoclaved? Neither microfiber soft goods nor tools can be autoclaved as process temperatures exceed maximum tolerances for many synthetic components.

How much faster can you clean with a microfiber flat mop? When compared to a traditional string mop, one can clean at least 45% faster using a microfiber flat mop.* How many launderings can Rubbermaid’s microfiber pads withstand? The Q410 18” Wet Pads are very durable… independently tested to hold up for more than 300 commercial laundering cycles. Traditional looped-end string mops are unusable after approximately 75 launderings. What is the difference between Wet and Dry pad construction? Rubbermaid’s Dry pads have a 100% microfiber cut pile face…very dense, with 40 times more surface area for dusting than cotton fiber mops. Wet pads have a 50/50 twisted loop construction for durability and reduced surface friction for “freewheeling” mop handling.

Can microfiber pads and cloths be used with disinfectants like Quats, Phenols and Hydrogen Peroxide?

Rubbermaid’s microfiber cloths and pads can be used with the disinfectants listed provided the manufacturer’s recommended dilution rates are followed. These chemicals are used extensively in healthcare environments and have demonstrated a good compatibility with microfiber.

What is the difference between Rubbermaid’s General Purpose and Glass Cloths?

Rubbermaid Glass Cloths feature a flat, tight weave that minimizes linting and improves glass cleaning. General Purpose Cloths are knitted with a looser, terry weave that more easily picks up dust and dirt. Can microfiber be used to clean plastic surfaces? Microfiber is non-abrasive and safe for use on plastic surfaces. In fact, most eyeglass lenses are plastic and generally, eyeglass cleaning cloths are microfiber. Can microfiber be used to clean up petroleumbased products? Yes, both the polyester and nylon content in microfiber are chemically resistant to petroleumbased products such as grease, oil and lubricants.
