QuickFly Rigging and Mounting Options QuickFly is a collection of custom designed rigging, flying and mounting systems created exclusively for Meyer Sound loudspeakers. QuickFly products are safe (when used within the manufacturer's published safe working loads and tolerances), easy to use, and cost-effective. Array and single cabinet arrangements are easier to assemble and break down, thus reducing loadin/out time and labor costs. And, as a flying system, QuickFly components are both ingeniously simple and supremely flexible. Arrays, or individual cabinets, can be easily configured at precise angles to take full advantage of the directional characteristics of each component cabinet. QuickFly accommodates (where appropriate) flexible vertical angling without pull-up points or strapping, while multiple horizontal splay angles allow wide coverage or tight packing for longer throw. QuickFly's enhanced arraying capability can substantially improve overall system performance, particularly in acoustically difficult venues. Other rigging options, depending on the loudspeaker system, include custom hanging yokes, mounting brackets and pole assemblies. All Meyer Sound loudspeaker cabinets for sound reinforcement are constructed of marine-grade birch plywood. To protect the cabinets in outdoor installations, the company employs a variety of manufacturing techniques and processes. Weather-protected cabinets receive a special finish that consists of a sealant primer and a finishing top coat. This coating is applied to all interior and exterior cabinet surfaces (one coat on the interior, and two on the exterior). It penetrates and stabilizes the wood, and enables the cabinet to withstand a wide range of temperature and humidity conditions. The exterior top coat is a two-part modified acrylic urethane similar to that used in military applications. Cone drivers are coated with a special water-resistant material, and gold-plated connectors resist corrosion while assuring reliable connections. Grill frames are coated to resist moisture. All components that mount to the cabinet exterior use custom gaskets, and all are mounted with stainless steel fasteners.
