Clinical Audit Tool Frequently Asked Questions

Activating Patients From CAT How do I move a CAT patient onto the Medtech32 palette? To move a CAT patient onto the Medtech32 palette, click on the patient name in the data grid.

Adding Recalls How do I add a patient recall for a CAT patient? In the CAT data grid, select the patient by selecting the tick box in the All column. Add a patient recall by selecting the Do Recall Tasks For Selected Patients icon which will open the Patients Next Visit pop-up. Select the Patients Recall option and click Ok. This will open the Medtech32 Patient Recalls screen.

Health Stat Action Menu What is the HealthStat action menu for? When a user clicks on a Health Stat link in the Health Stat custom browser, the data results will be displayed on the Health Stat screen in the CAT custom browser.

CAT Graphs vs Health Stat Graphs Why do the HealthStat graphs and CAT graphs display different results e.g. Flu Vaccination 65+? The HealthStat graph displays the query results for your practice and the national sample. Clicking on the link to view your patients will open the CAT custom browser. The CAT custom browser displays the excluded patients for most queries e.g. all patients 65+ who have not had the flu immunisation vaccine. This has been intentionally designed so that the practice can view all outstanding patients i.e. patients that need to be contacted and vaccinated. Note: Health Stat only queries registered and funded patients

CAT Results vs Query Builder Results Why are the CAT results different from the Query Builder results? The way that CAT and Query Builder display results are quite different. For a particular query, Query Builder will display every instance of a record, even if 2 or more records are the same, whereas CAT will only display the latest instance of a record even if 2 or more records are the same. For CAT CPI Reports, if a patient has the same disease entered in History and Classification, CPI Reports will only show the latest dated entry of the disease whereas Query Builder will display both instances.

Preliminary Filter, CPI Reports and HealthStat Why does the preliminary filter not work for CPI Reports and HealthStat? The preliminary filter is not applicable to CPI Reports and Health Stat as CPI Reports and Health Stat queries display all the latest patient results, and not the historic results.

Medications Why are only some medications shown and not all the medications present in the filter? The Medication screen uses the information in the MIMS tables. If the MIMS table is out of date, the medication information displayed will be inaccurate. When using CAT, always ensure that MIMS is up to date.

Reports How can I view PPP Queries? The PPP Queries, CPI Queries and Pre-Defined queries have been included as sub menus under the action menu “Reports”. Clicking on the PPP sub menu will display the 15 negative condition queries of the PPP in single screen with each graph representing one query.

How can I view Pre-Defined Queries? The sub menu of Pre-Defined queries is further divided into four sub groups of Screening Management, Registration Management, Read Coding Management & Chronic Disease Management. Clicking on any of these sub groups will display the graph and data for the queries coming under each category.
