What started as a small design event held by a handful of companies from Pakhus 48 - a warehouse in the industrial free port in Copenhagen, has today grown into a serious, innovative design event under the name 3daysofdesign. The event, which is annual, draws journalists, buyers and design enthusiasts from around the world to Copenhagen, to experience a new and refreshing look on design presented in a unique collaboration between top design companies and designers. There will be ample opportunity to meet designers and architects who are creating several of today's most interesting designs and creative spaces. “At the moment Danish design achieve a lot of international interest and the event 3daysofdesign helps to reinforce the position by bringing the international design world to Copenhagen, where you can experience everything we have to offer in addition to the opportunity to come behind the facades and get close to the manufacturers” says Signe Byrdal Terenziani. “Copenhagen is ideal as stage for showcasing Danish design in the original framework. At the same time, we present both established brands as start-up designers which gives a good picture on how nuanced the Danish design scene is”, Signe explains. International brands with showroom in Copenhagen can take advantage of the traffic generated in the wake of the event. “By having an annual event the mission is also to create synergy and collaboration across the international design and furniture industry, something that has already come through in many ways. We have noted that interest on the event is growing internationally. 3daysofdesign in Copenhagen is becoming an ideal meeting point to network, to do branding and trade”, says Signe Byrdal Terenziani. 3daysofdesign goes behind the facade - Join us! Add a Room Add a Room - Scandinavian building blocks for adults. Add a Room presents their biggest house module, a 25 m2 unit complete with 2 rooms, kitchen, and a bathroom. The modular houses called ONE+ from Add a Room can be used in many ways - a small cottage, a garden office or even as a pop-up store. And if one house is not big enough, more houses can easily be linked together to allow the houses to grow as needed. The basic house modules are 10, 15, 20 or 25 m2. The concept is based on small, completely nished houses designed by the Danish top architect, Lars Frank Nielsen. Merging indoors and outdoors. Spacious decks, pergolas, outdoor kitchen, windows with very thin frames are all carefully chosen to produce the feeling of outside and inside melting together. Easy living. ONE+ houses are built with sustainable Scandinavian materials that require minimal maintenance. The modules are built indoors and transported by truck directly to the plot where they are placed into position by crane. In this way there is no messy building work on location, or any weather worries. Add a Room is an ecologically and economically sound choice for people who love design and quality.

Eilersen A horse coach resaddels to furniture on Gl. Kongevej 90 It all began with a horse coach. In 1895 the young Niels Eilersen started as a coachbuilder. For his wheels he, as the first in Denmark, begins a production of steam-bent wood. And when the cars ran the horse coach of the road, Eilersen begins to make handmade bodies for cars and busses. In 1934 the factory burns completely down. However, this is going to be the start of a entirely different production. From that time Eilersen focuses on producing high quality upholstered furniture. Soon the sofas become a big success, and since then steady progress has been made. Today the 4th generation has taken the factory and the trademark Eilersen into the next millennium. The name itself is synonymous with quality and Eilersen has worldwide a fantastic reputation for its sofas. Several models have already been elevated to classics, while the rest simply are daily enjoyments for many years. Eilersen furniture is a result of proud traditions and modern evolution. As such every piece of furniture is created by genuine craftsmanship and a trendy design. For many people “an Eilersen” is also a unique feeling of comfort...or as we say “enjoy an Eilersen”. Quality for more than 100 years. Gl. Kongevej 90 1850 Frederiksberg

Muuto

Østergade 36-38 1100 Copenhagen K

Much has happened since Peter and Kristian first sat down to rethink Scandinavian design. 10 years ago they came up with an interior design company named MUUTO - the Finnish word for ‘new perspective’. The duo wanted to create a new chapter of the renowned Nordic design legacy. Now with an explosive growth in their first decade, they are well on their way. The pioneering design structure of MUUTO consists of unique collaborations with established designers as well as upcoming talents - who the past years have created a portfolio of furniture, lamps and everyday objects being sold in 50 countries worldwide. At MUUTO we celebrate individuality in our design and our aim is to create products with a personality. Hence we give the designers we collaborate with free hands in the design process. At the same time we navigate after a set of parameters that define the MUUTO way: Our products have to have a Scandinavian feel and live up to the promise of a new perspective. If a design does not have ‘muutos’ it will not be put into production. The MUUTO products are furthermore rooted in a long and proud Scandinavian design tradition - celebrated throughout the world for a bespoke approach to design and unique craftsmanship. We are not interested in repeating a design era, but we take the promise of quality in Danish design very seriously. We wish to create products born in the now - and loved for generations.
