Section Ⅴ – Reactivity Data Stability: Stable Incompatibility (Material to Avoid): Lithium Metal---Contact with water will occur to reaction ,reacts violently then release flammable hydrogen gas and quantity of heat , that may cause fire and explosion; Contact with air also lead to lithium metal metamorphosed. Electrolyte---Contact with air will increase the percentage value of water ,that will reduce the battery‵s storaged-life and inpact on discharge performance.

Section Ⅵ – Health Hazard Data Route(s) of Entry: Not Applicable under normal use Carcinogenicity: ¬ Electrolyte: No ¬ Lithium Metal / Manganese Dioxide : No Signs and Symptoms of Exposure: ¬ Electrolyte:Contact with eyes、nose or skin will not cause irritation and skin burns, also electrolyte is not corrosive; Emergency and First Aid Procedures: ¬ ¬

Contact with Electrolyte: just wipe up with dry cloth then wash it with water; If swallowed: To prevent to be swallowed by children accidentally,if so ,contact a physician immediately.

Section Ⅶ – Precautions For Safe Handling and Use

This battery can be used reliably under normal using condition , but if it is mishandled by any possibility . violent explosion、burnning or electrolyte leakage may happen. Therefore , when using this battery , bear in mind the following points:

1. Precautions when using Coin type Manganese Dioxide Lithium batteries A. Coin type Manganese Dioxide Lithium battery is a primary battery and cannot be charged. 1)

When used in memory back up circuit , to avoid a current flow from the main power source to the battery circuit , a blocking diode which prevents reverse current flow should be used . (Refer to the following figure)

2)

Low current leakage type diodes should be used . When choosing a diode , the total electric charge by reverse current leakage should be kept at 1~2% of the nominal capacity.

3)

When using batteries , if you have any questions about detailed matters , including power backup specification , please contact Shun Wo New Power Electronics (Shenzhen)Co.Ltd .

B. Under condition where normal current flow through the battery will increase , the

battery should not be connected in series with the power supply. C. When connecting a lead wire to the battery . direct soldering or direct spot welding to the battery should be avoided. D. In the case of soldering , practice it at the following condition ; temperature of solder ; 270℃ and less , soldering time : 5 sec . and less. E. In the case of automated soldering , dip only the battery terminal in solder bath and be sure that the battery is not stopped , nor fallen in the bath. F. When the battery is used in apparatus which heats , set the battery away from the heating part or if the battery is near the heat source , isolate them and design the insertion so that the temperature at the battery is 60℃ and less. 2.Prohibitive matters when handing Coin type Manganese Dioxide Lithium batteries ¬

The voltage of Coin type Manganese Dioxide Lithium batteries(3.0V) is different from the voltage of the following batteries, so use Coin type Manganese Dioxide Lithium batteries only in apparatus specially designed for them.

¬

Conventional batteries with different voltage: Manganese dry batteries(1.5V), Alkaline manganese

button

batteries(1.5V);Sliveroxide

batteries(1.5V),Mercury

batteries

(1.4V),Lithium/Thionyl Chloride batteries(3.6V),etc. ¬

Do not use different types of batteries together, nor mix partially used batteries with new ones.

υ υ

¬

Do not use short-circuit (+)(-) of batteries.

¬

Do not reversely connect(+)(-) of batteries.

¬

The batteries should be used at normal temperature, never exceeding 60℃.

¬

Do not dismantle the batteries ,put them into a fire, heat them or throw them into water because there is a fear of ignition, explosion or burning.

¬

Do not give unreasonable shocks to batteries, such as hard hits.

3.Precautions when storing Coin type Manganese Dioxide Lithium batteries ¬

To store batteries, keep out of high temperature and high humidity, and avoid dew condensation.

¬

Keep away from direct sunlight and rain water.

¬

Pay attention to avoid short-circuit of batteries by collapse of packages.

¬

During transportation, avoid rough handing which cause dent or deformation.

¬

When piling up the outer packages of batteries, the number of tiers should be limited to the amount indicated on the outer package.

4.Waste Disposal Method: Do as the government regulations. The more importance is that all Newsun lithium-manganese batteries are pollution-free clean power . As a non-hazardous waste and are safe for disposal in the normal municipal waste stream.
