Thunderbird’s Master of Science programs are uniquely designed to meet the needs of graduate students who are seeking either a general management degree with a global focus – or a specialization in a particular global business discipline. Our MS degrees: • Begin every Fall • Can be completed in 15-18 months • Expose you to hands-on learning experiences and internships abroad • Merge global business curriculum with instruction in global affairs and cross-cultural interaction • Include 51 credit hours (6 hours of language to attain a second-language proficiency) If you enter the program proficient in a second language, you can waive the six hours of required language courses.

Master of Science in Global Management For recent liberal-arts undergraduates or early-career professionals with a passion for global management – but a lack of academic or professional experience in the field – breaking through the competition can be fierce. An understanding of fundamental global business principles, coupled with an understanding of how cultural nuances affect business and business interactions, is critical. This program provides a broad-stroke education in global business with core courses in accounting, finance, management, entrepreneurship and marketing – all taught from a truly global perspective. Graduates are prepared for general management positions in global organizations.

Master of Science in Global Finance In today’s global economy, successful finance professionals need to understand the global financial regulations, regional dynamics, national laws and cultural differences that drive international finance. This program provides a specialization in global finance, coupled with instruction in cross-cultural relations and general management disciplines, to give you the skills, insight and training for effective financial decision-making and strategy on an international scale. Graduates of this program are prepared to lead a global organization’s international fiscal efforts in financial management positions.

Master of Science in Global Marketing Every culture and region of the world has societal differences, cultural preferences and sensitivities. In today’s global society – where virtually every business operates across borders – marketing must appeal to these preferences and sensitivities. It must be customized at every step – whether it’s global brand management, new market entry planning, or strategic messaging and positioning for a new product. This program provides a concentrated specialization in global marketing, preparing graduates for marketing management positions in global organizations, where they can apply both marketing science and cross-cultural insight to any campaign.

Global study opportunities Master of Science candidates have the opportunity to study abroad while taking intensive two- to three-week courses called Winterims. Speak the language of global business To round out Thunderbird’s truly global approach to business education, Master of Science students are required to be proficient in a second language before graduation. If you enter the program with a second language, you can waive this requirement by taking an oral proficiency exam.

On campus Thunderbird’s vibrant community provides its own global learning laboratory as students interact with classmates and professors from more than 50 nations. Three times per trimester, Regional Nights immerse students in their classmates’ cultures through dance, fashion and cuisine. Further global interaction occurs through participation in more than 50 student clubs ranging from Rugby Club and Outdoor Adventure Club to International Development Association and Japan Club.
