When working in Excel, it’s an advantage if the first row of the Excel sheet consists of the different column names. Then you just add the articles to be included in the price list. Note that if the list contains several different types of articles, it may be that some fields are the same, no matter what the article type is. I.e. a tyre diameter field may be in the same column as a rim diameter field.

When creating your price list, these are the category numbers you should state in your price list in the field recycling category. The user then uses this number to import the price list into DackData. They then enter an article number that they have for the different recycling categories in DackData. When creating the description in the price list, it is important to use the following information for the different types of articles. For tyres, you can decide in the final stage whether the generator should create the description for you. This will not alter the short description you upload. Instead a new field is added to the tyre article. Tyre Rim Tube

When it comes to dimension, it varies depending on what kind of price list you are going to upload. The table below shows you how to organise dimensions or what dimension to use. Tyre Dimension Section width Aspect Ratio Rim 195/65-15 195 65 15 4.00-8/2 4 8 12-22,5 12 22,5

Rim Tube The dimension corresponds Use the to the standard smallest dimension of dimension and the car model no alternatives

You should also remember to make the columns text fields only. You shouldn’t include articles that are being developed or do not have a price (cannot be uploaded). Such articles can always be uploaded later when a price has been set. If you are using pictures, usually for rims, for the price list, these must contain a numeric value. This value must also be reflected in the picture file name. For example: If my picture column says 11, the picture file should be called 11.gif or 11.jpg. These pictures must also be uploaded onto www.compilator.se before you upload the price list containing the picture numbers. The Price Generator can handle so-called semicolon separated files. There are two filetypes of these: CSV or SKV. You create these by clicking on ‘File’ and then ‘Save as’ in Excel.

What happens then is that a window opens where you can state where the price list should be saved and in what format. You can also state a file name for the price list. To change the format into either CSV or SKV, you click on ‘File format’ and find one of these formats.

4

Upload pricelist All the time when you are working with the Price Generator, there is a time axis that shows you in what stage of the upload you are at.

Here, you have the option of cancelling the upload whenever you want to make changes, though not after you have chosen to save the price list. In that case, the price list must be removed from Price list Management. If the file contains erroneous rows, they will be displayed in the bottom panel.

Upload your new price list (file) here. The Price Generator supports the file formats skv. Depending on whether you want to update an existing price list or upload a completely new one, different settings are needed here. 1.Select the file format of the uploaded file. 2.Select whether a price list should be updated or if the uploaded list should be completely new. 3.Select a country (cannot be selected when updating a pricelist) 4.Select a currency to show the prices in (cannot be mixed within the price list). 5.Select whether the first row of the list contains column descriptions. 6.Select a file to be uploaded. 5

When updating a price list, you cannot change the country. Select the type of price list to be uploaded. You do this by clicking the “Browse ” button; a window showing your computer file system will appear. Here, you find your price list and then click the ‘Upload’ button. When uploading a price list, the Price Generator checks the file before it’s added to the database. This check makes sure that all columns are included. You are asked to correct any errors and upload the file again. This check will also notify you if any field contains invalid characters and data types. For example, a text string in the diameter field (diameter should be a decimal number).

6

Match fields This is the first step in the Price Generator after you have uploaded your price list. Here, you define which of your fields in the price list match the fields defined by Compilator for the type of article you have uploaded. The fields to the left are the ones that Compilator wants you to define. To the right you find your fields from the price list. The three first rows in the file are displayed. It is a good idea to include a header filed in your file to help in your matching.

To the left, you can also see what fields are required by Compilator. These fields are marked with a asterisk (*). If you do not have the field in your list, or you do not want to include it, you select “Do not map ” from the list. (When selecting a price list containing tyres, you should enter a recycling category.) When you have selected all the fields you want to include, you click on “Next ”. The Price Generator then saves your field definition for the selected type of price list, so that the next time you upload the same type of price list, you will already have definitions for the different fields.

The Price Generator then moves on to present your price list based on your selection of what fields to include. See an example of what it may look like above. “View for details” Make as a rule to skim the the information to make sure everything is correct! 7

Finished articles This step of the Pricelist upload wizard shows which articles are considered completely finished; this means that they have the same article number and that the Main group and Subgroup match. If EAN codes exists it works in the same way. If it turns out that there are no uploaded articles matching article number, main group and subgroup, the Price Generator automatically moves on to the next step.

You see the following on the page: “Existing ”; these are articles that have been uploaded earlier. You can also see “Uploaded ”,which are the articles uploaded on this particular occasion. There is also a tick box called “Equal ”. Here you state whether the article you are uploading should update the earlier article in the same row, or whether this article should be checked against deviations. You do this by deselecting the row of the uploaded article. It is important to note that if an article in the price list you are uploading is included in a different price list, the technical information for that article will be updated. Below the table you will find the following buttons, which are used for returning to the field matching or moving on to the next step in the Price Generator, which in this case means looking at articles considered as deviating.

8

Deviating articles Here you can see the articles not considered finished by the Price Generator, i.e. that could not be exclusively matched against one article. It also includes articles that were not marked for updating on the previous page.

Here, your uploaded articles are shown to the left, and to the right what articles match the dimension (section width, profile and rim), plus main group and subgroup. Which depends on whether you have stated all of these fields. If it turns out that there are no uploaded articles matching the dimension (section width, profile and rim) plus main group and subgroup, the Price Generator will automatically move on to the next step. The same existing article may appear in several places. The article with a double match is shown as a link in the Error column, so that you can easily go to the other article on the list.

The idea is that you may have changed an article number completely, even though the article isn’t completely new. Then, the uploaded article would correspond to a different one with a different article number. To return to the previous step or move on to the next one in the Price Generator, use the Back and Next buttons.

9

Obsolete articles Before the price list is saved, the Price Generator checks whether there are any articles in it that have not been affected by the new version.

This page shows articles not affected by the upload, and the Price Generator asks you if the different articles are Obsolete in the price list in question. This selection reflects the selection you made when uploading the price list, when you selected whether the price list should be completely new or update an existing one. Articles included in the previous finished matching are automatically shown as Obsolete. When you have completed any changes, you click Next to update the articles you have selected.

10

Save When you have got this far, it’s time to save your uploaded price list

Now you need to enter what date this price list should be valid from. You do this by clicking the date that appears above the price list itself. A calendar will appear. Select the date that the price list should be valid from. You are also able to generate your short description. You can either generate both Updated Articles and New Articles or one of them. When this is done, you choose to save the price list, which is then saved to an intermediate storage place. You can find the price list under the Price list Management menu. When you are done, you select Save and Close Wizard.

11

Publish pricelist When you have uploaded a new price list or updated an old one, you go to the ‘management’ tab of the Price list manager. There, you will find all price lists that you have uploaded. A newly uploaded price list is shown with a grey globe, which means that it’s ready for publishing.

Before you publish the price list, it’s good if you go through it and correct any errors. You do this by clicking the price list name. A page will then appear where you can edit price list information and the articles included.

When you are done, you go back to the price list overview and click the ‘Publish’ link for the price list in question. When you publish your price list, everyone who subscribes to this list will get a message that it has been published and they will automatically have it sent to them. If you discover any errors in a price list, you can make the list unavailable for a period of time. You then enter a date in the ‘unavailable unto’ field for the link on the page where you can view published price lists. This prevents the price list from being sent out to subscribers. Subscribers are added through the distribution network. Please refer to manual ‘Distribute price lists’.
