CALL TO ORDER and VERIFICATION OF QUORUM On motion duly made at 6:15 p.m., Ms. Rule verified the presence of a quorum and called to order a Regular Meeting of the Manhasset Board of Education Meeting. Athletic Equipment - Wrestling Room Wall Padding Bid Award Bid specifications were prepared and an invitation to bid was advertised in the Manhasset Press and the Manhasset Times on Thursday, June 4, 2015. Sealed bids were received and read aloud by the Purchasing Agent on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. RESOLVED: “that the Manhasset Union Free School Board of Education award the bid for Athletic Equipment- Wrestling Room Wall Padding to the following vendor: TW Promotions, Inc. in the amount of:

Approval of Agreement with Professional Athletic Training Services, PLLC (Enclosure) MOTION: “that the Board of Education hereby accepts the agreement from Professional Athletic Training Services, PLLC, for athletic training services in the amount of $57,318.00 for the 2015-2016 school year, and that the Board of Education authorizes the Board President to execute said agreement.”

Approval of Manhasset School District Contract for Receipt of Federal Part B Flow-Through Allocations – (Enclosure) MOTION: That the Manhasset Union Free School District Board of Education authorizes the Board President to execute the attached Manhasset School District Contract for Receipt of Federal Part B Flow-Through Allocations for the 20142015 school year. This contract with Kidz Therapy Services, PLLC is in accordance with grants 611 and 619, and the Provider has met the necessary criteria.

Transfer of Funds Up to $3,500,000 to 2010 Capital Reserve Fund MOTION: “that the Board of Education of the Manhasset Union Free School District hereby directs that the Deputy Superintendent for Business and Finance take the necessary action to transfer surplus money, as of June 30, 2015, in an amount not to exceed $3,500,000, from the General Fund’s unassigned fund balance into the 2010 Capital Reserve Fund.”

Approval of the Agreement with Manhasset Afterschool Xperience (Enclosure)

9 MOTION: “that the Board of Education hereby approves the agreement between Manhasset Union Free School District and Manhasset Afterschool Xperience (MAX) for a total of $16,692.37 for the 2015-2016 school year.” 8.

Approval for Agreement for Health Services with Hauppauge UFSD (Enclosure) These agreements provide for the Health and Welfare Services available to Manhasset residents attending private schools located in other districts as required by Section 912 of the Education Law. MOTION: “that the agreement between Hauppauge Union Free School District and Manhasset Union Free School District for Health and Welfare Services for the 2014-2015 school year at $915.52 per pupil be approved.”

Bid Award – Bond Issue Capital Improvement Program- Phase 2 General Construction & Related Electrical Work - Munsey Park Maintenance Shed Memorial Field Bathroom Facility Manhasset Board of Education Meeting Minutes

11 WHEREAS, the Board of Education of the Manhasset Union Free School District has solicited and received six sealed bids for General Construction work & three sealed bids for related Electrical Work(Contracts 1A - Munsey Park NYSED Project # 28-04-06-03-2-031-001 & Contract 1B – Memorial Field NYSED Project # 28-04-06-03-7-032-001) heretofore approved by the District’s voters, and has determined, based on the recommendation of the District’s architect, that The LandTek Group for General Construction and J.P. Daly & Sons for related Electrical work on contract 1A are the lowest responsible bidders meeting specifications, AND WHEREAS, it has been determined by the District’s Architect, that there is sufficient & appropriate cause to reject and re-advertise all bids received in connection with Contract 1B – Memorial Field, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED That the Board of Education hereby awards said Contract 1A for General Construction work at Munsey Park in the amount of $168,000 to The LandTek Group, Amityville, NY and for Related Electrical work in the amount of $15,900 to J.P. Daly & Sons, Deer Park, NY as the lowest responsible bidders meeting specifications, pursuant to Section 103 of the General Municipal Law and authorizes the Board President to execute contracts on behalf of the Board with the awarded contractors in accordance with the specifications. AND…. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That in the best interests of the District and the pubic in making economical use of public moneys, the Board of Education hereby rejects bids for General Construction and related Electrical work received on the Memorial Field project 7-032-001 and directs the District’s Business Office and Architect to re-advertise for bids in connection with said Project, all in accordance with Section 103 of the General Municipal Law. 11.

Bid Award – Bond Issue Capital Improvement Program - Phase 2 General Construction – REBID - Manhasset Secondary School – New Maintenance Building WHEREAS, the Board of Education of the Manhasset Union Free School District has solicited and received three sealed bids to construct a New Maintenance Building (Contract 1) - Manhasset Secondary School, NYSED Project # 28-04-06-03-2-030-001 heretofore approved by the District’s voters, and has determined, based on the recommendation of the District’s Architect, that ACL Construction Corp. is the lowest responsible bidder meeting specifications, BE IT RESOLVED That the Board of Education hereby awards said Contract 1 in the amount of $260,500 to ACL Construction Corp., West Babylon, NY as the lowest responsible bidder meeting specifications, pursuant to Section 103 of the General Municipal Law and authorizes the Board President to execute contracts on behalf of the Board with the awarded contractor in accordance with the specifications.

Approval of a Letter of Agreement with Cerini & Associates for Internal Auditing Services for the 2015-2016 Fiscal Year (Enclosure)

12 MOTION: “that the Board of Education, with the recommendation of the Audit Committee, hereby accepts the proposal from Cerini & Associates for internal auditing services at a cost not to exceed $28,500 for the 2015-206 fiscal year, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Education authorizes the Board President to execute a letter of engagement between the Board of Education and Cerini & Associates for the above described services for the 2015-2016 fiscal year.” 13.

Approval of a Letter of Agreement with R. S. Abrams for External Auditing Services for the Year Ending June 30, 2016 (Enclosure) MOTION: “that the Board of Education, with the recommendation of the Audit Committee, hereby accepts the proposal from R.S. Abrams & Co. LLP at a cost not to exceed $39,900 for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2016, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Education authorizes the Board President to execute a letter of engagement between the Board of Education and R.S. Abrams & Co. LLP for the above described services for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2016.”

Appointment of Impartial Hearing Officer for SED Case #89791 MOTION: “that the Board of Education of the Manhasset Union Free School District hereby designates Ellen Abberbock, Esq. as Impartial Hearing Officer in connection with the application of the parent of student identification No. 071980000 for an Impartial Hearing.”
