Choosing a Trainer Who is Right for YOU! In order for a personal trainer to design a safe and effective workout, he or she should have education and experience. Being certified through a nationally recognized certifying agency insures that the trainer is getting continuing education. This means that the trainer is knowledgeable about the latest information and research on health and fitness issues and understands the principles of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, nutrition, and exercise. All YMCA Personal Trainers are certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine as well as CPR, AED, O2, and First Aid certified.

YMCA Personal Training Fees Purchasing more sessions will get you an individualized program, more detailed instruction of your overall fitness routine, cardiovascular conditioning, resistance training, flexibility, stress management, safe and proper technique, motivation, accountability, and positive feedback and encouragement. All trainers are CPR, First Aid, AED and O2 certified as well as nationally certified in personal training. All fees must be paid in full at time of purchase and prior to first session. Small Group Training/Nutrition Options Pilates Reformer Pilates is a unique system of stabilizing, strengthening and stretching exercises developed over 90 years ago by Joseph Pilates. You will develop core strength and increased flexibility because Pilates is a full body workout. Beginner, intermediate and advanced classes are offered. TRX® Suspension Training® Born in the Navy SEALs, Suspension Training delivers a fast, effective total-body workout, helps build a rock-solid core, increases muscular endurance and benefits people of all fitness levels. Group Pricing (3-7 participants): 5 sessions-$95/person • 10 sessions-$160/person

Kettlebells Kettlebells are cannonball-like weights with thick handles that challenges your grip and works your core. The weight lies below the handle so it forces your stabilizer muscles to work harder and burn extra calories.

Smart Start A Smart Start session with a trained Wellness Coach will help you begin your path to wellness. During the initial session, you and your coach will set goals to help you determine what you want to accomplish as well as motivate you to continue the habit of healthy living. A second Smart Start appointment is recommended but not required. Please make an appointment with a Wellness Coach or at the Welcome Center for a time convenient for you. Fees: FREE! Nutrition Let our Nutritionist, Michelle Burton, help you with nutrition education, personally tailored advice based on individual needs, diet analysis and meal planning and a weight loss program that really works. GRIT™ Get the power of personal training with the motivation of a team. GRIT™ is a 30-minute high intensity interval training series with 3 workout styles to deliver the results you need. Get super fit, super fast! GRIT™ STRENGTH-Builds strength and lean muscles by utilizing barbells, plates and a bench. It’s a total body workout. GRIT™ PLYO-Builds a powerful, agile, athletic body using a bench and the principles of plyometrics. GRIT™ CARDIO-Burns fat and rapidly improves athletic capability with explosive, high-impact body-weight exercises.
