Magnetic Engineering & Manufacturing Specialists WE MANUFACTURE CUSTOM INDUSTRIAL MAGNETS & MAGNETIC SEPARATORS FOR YOUR APPLICATIONS! WE HAVE EVERY STRENGTH & SIZE YOU REQUIRE. Most competitors can only manufacturer a few sizes of industrial strength permanent magnets or they distribute Chinese magnets. This involves lengthy shipping AROs and less application specific. Often these companies will push too weak & undersized magnets or too strong & oversized magnets to move their “stock”. Our magnetic separators are in stock for same day shipping and can be custom built for your specific needs within a few days. Our average shipping ARO for custom built industrial magnets & magnetic separators is 7 -10 days.

We have over 2 decades of design and manufacturing experience. We produce permanent magnetic products for companies in many different industries and countries. We strive for excellence. Our engineers constantly are developing and designing more efficient products to keep your products pure of tramp metals. Increasing your production rates, decreasing your down time and engineering new ways to increase your profits$$$ are our primary goals!

HARD FERRITE(ceramic) MAGNETS- Hard ferrite (ceramic) magnets were 1st developed in the 1960's. They exhibit low energy (compared with other permanent magnetic materials) but are greatly utilized in magnetic separation due to their strong resistance to becoming demagnetized. They will hold the magnetic strength longer than other permanent magnets. However, in extremely low & high (350 degrees fahrenheit or higher) temperatures they can become demagnetized.

Strontium carbonate and iron oxide make up a Ceramic Magnet.

Irreversible changes can result from exposure to very low temperatures, and the magnetic quality is restored only by re-magnetization. In extremely low or high temperature settings. Irreversible changes can be avoided by providing an adequate permeance coefficient.

NEODYMIUM-IRON-BORON MAGNETS-Sintered neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB) magnets, are also referred to as "neo" magnets or “rare earth” magnets. They have been available since the early 1980s. They offer the highest energy output of any other material and are available in all of our permanent magnetic products, as is ceramic 8. They work great in low & high temperatures. However, they can become demagnetized, @ a greater likelihood than ceramic, if exposed to 200 degrees or higher fahrenheit. By incorporating the best magnetic materials with our design, engineering & manufacturing experience, we produce the strongest and best priced permanent magnetic products!

Manual Clean Plate Magnet

We offer three different standard types of plate magnets in order to optimize removal of tramp metal from product. Our plate magnets utilize ceramic or rare earth magnetic materials depending on the applications requirements. Flush-Pole Plate Magnets are designed to separate ferrous tramp metal from above the product flow. Mounted to the topside of a chute, it lifts tramp metal from the product as it passes underneath. Overhead mounting of the flush-pole plate magnets also make them ideal for use with product being carried on slow-moving conveyor belts. Raised Pole Plate Magnets are mounted below the product flow and utilizes a raised-pole magnet with a wedge shape design. The magnet’s unique configuration, which permits effective tramp metal separation from high volume product flow without the worry of wash-off or impeded product movement. Extended-Pole Plate Magnets are mounted to the underside of chutes and draw tramp metal from product as it passes over magnetic poles. They are designed for low volume product flow applications where tramp metal washoff is not a concern

Great for pneumatics and conveyor round or square aperture discharge points. The Hump Magnet is a series of two plate magnets placed into a housing. The housing is designed so the plate magnets are always on the under side of the product flow. The product enters the housing, cascades over the first plate magnet then changes direction and flows over the second plate magnet. This design allows for the tramp metal to be in the magnetic zone due to the placement of the magnets in the housing. Cleaning is easy. The magnets are hinged on one side; they swing open and wipe off. The magnets can also have a stripper faceplate, which allows for easy- clean or self-cleaning designs.

Magnetic grates are used in bins, chutes, drawers, and hoppers. Our magnetic grates utilize ceramic or rare earth - neodymium magnetic materials to provide superior tramp metal separation. The grates are constructed using a 1 inch diameter magnetic tubes with 2 inch centers in a heavy-duty stainless steel frame. They are offered in a round, square or rectangle shape. Custom shapes; split magnetic grates, round magnetic grates, tombstone shape and semi-circles.

Our tube magnets provide an effective means for removing ferrous chips, fines, nuts, bolts and metal particles from loosely packed, free flowing materials. They are made out of 1 inch diameter, 304 stainless steel tube, ruggedly constructed with 1/4 inch-20 mounting holes. Standard lengths are from 4 inches to 48 inches.

Our Drawer-In-Housings are designed for tramp metal separation in various dry processing applications. Drawer-In-Housings utilize the strong tube magnet design, placed in a drawer with either a single row or more commonly multiple rows with alternating centers for a more effective separation and placed in a housing designed to make it easy to clean. The product flows in the top and over the offset magnetic tubes to redirect product as it flows through the housing, causing it to slow down as it winds through the magnetic grate. This increases the amount of tramp metal exposed to the tube magnets, and its separation from the product flow is maximized.

Manual Clean Drawer-In Housings

Manual clean drawer in housings are best utilized in applications where there is a low volume of tramp metal contamination. Cleaning the collected tramp metal from the tubes is done by opening the door and pulling each bank of tubes out and wiping the tube magnets with a shop rag or gloved hand.

EZ-Clean Manual Drawer-InHousings The EZ-Clean Drawer-In-Housing is utilized in applications where higher volumes of tramp metal are expected, operators are available to clean the magnet and the magnet is located in an area with access for the cleaning operation. The operator cleans the magnet by pulling the handle on the front of the housing, which removes the magnetic drawer from the product flow. As the drawer is pulled out, the magnetic tubes slide through a wiper seal, which wipes the accumulated tramp metal from the tubes. The drawerin-housing is designed with a catch pan under the front of the housing to collect the metal for easy disposal.

Self-Cleaning Drawer-InHousings The self-cleaning drawer-in-housing is utilized in applications where heavier tramp metal contamination is expected or it is located in a hard to reach location or automated cleaning is desired. A toggle switch (custom automated switches available) activates the air-actuated stripping process to discharge the tramp metal and resets the magnetic tubes for more separation.

WEDGE IN CHUTE MAGNETS

The Wedge in Chute Magnet allows for superior separation of material in free flowing or choke fed vertical flow applications. The product enters the wedge in chute housing which divides the flow into two separate chambers on either side of the chute. Each chamber has extra heavy duty magnets on the inside and outside of the flow, which separates and holds onto the targeted tramp metal until cleaned by the easy pull drawer. The wedge in chute magnet is available in both easy manual clean and self cleaning versions. It is also available with ceramic or rare earth magnet material. CHUTE SEPARATOR MAGNETS

Our magnetic chute separator is ideal for extracting ferrous tramp metal from high volumes of dry product flowing vertically through a chute. Each unit utilizes two powerful permanent magnets, a drawer assembly and a product flow diverter. The two magnets are mounted on opposite sides of a bottomless drawer assembly. The product flow diverter is mounted above and along the centerline of the drawer in

parallel to the two magnets. As the product flows down the chute, it is redirected by the diverter toward the magnets. The deep magnetic reach of the two magnets draws the ferrous metal toward the magnet and out of the product flow.

The product being processed enters the housing and flows across the drum. As the product flows the outer shell rotates around the magnet material which remains stationary. All non magnetic product falls in the metal free zone, all magnetic material remains on the drum until it is moved past the magnetic field and is released into the metal collection area.

As the product flows down the chute, it is redirected by the diverter toward the magnets. The deep magnetic reach of the two magnets draws the ferrous metal toward the magnet and out of the product flow. DRUM IN HOUSING Magnets perform ferrous metal removal from free flowing dry bulk material. The design of the drum allows for continuous cleaning.
