Freshwater is a precious resource. Globally we are consuming it at an unsustainable rate – depleting it, without considering the implications for future generations. Averting a global water crisis in the foreseeable future is a serious challenge and drives our innovation to develop water-efficient technologies and products. In developed countries, saving water is choice made by the end-user. We see it as our duty to provide
a range of features that encourage consumers to use less water without reducing the pleasurable experiences our products deliver. GROHE EcoJoy™ reflects our commitment to reducing water consumption and is already included in a number of established products such as our thermostats, dual-flush cisterns and electronic faucets. Our new single-lever mixers and showers feature integrated water-saving technologies that restrict flow rates to as little as 5.8 liters per minute, while our GROHE Rainshower® Icon Collection hand showers feature an EcoButton that allows the user to choose when to reduce the flow.
Reducing water consumption also cuts energy consumption, as less water needs to be heated. Water savings thereby generate energy savings, resulting in substantial cost savings for both resources. Precision engineering has enabled us to simplify the installation process by reducing the complexity and number of parts required to fit a product. GROHE QuickFix® ensures that our Rapid SL frames are even quicker and simpler to install than before. The inspection shaft now clicks into place – for tool-free installation, while only two screws are required to install the fixing frame. Additionally, the wall brackets are now easier and faster to fit.

Thermostats GROHE’s quick guide to thermostat technology What is a thermostat? A thermostat maintains an exact water temperature of your choosing, even when water is drawn elsewhere in the home.
GROHE thermostats are designed with the world’s most sensitive thermometer in mind: your skin. The Grohtherm range is offered in a choice of styles and features GROHE TurboStat® technology to maintain your perfect water temperature for the duration of your shower.
How does it work? The thermostatic mixer valve mixes the hot and cold water and reacts instantly to any changes in the supplies, ensuring the temperature is maintained. Do I need one? If there’s more than one person in your household, then a thermostat is a must if you want a comfortable and safe shower. What are the benefits? The pre-set temperature is reached within a fraction of a second and remains constant so there’s no risk of scalding. Are there different types available? Yes, GROHE offers many different models to suit every style of bathroom.

Thermostats We’ve all been there before. You’ve just stepped into the shower when someone else in the house either turns on a faucet or flushes the toilet; suddenly the temperature of your shower plummets or becomes scalding hot – leaving you with soap in your eyes as you try to manually adjust the temperature back to a comfortable level. Install a GROHE thermostat and you can be sure of a safe and enjoyable showering experience every time. What’s inside? Thermostatic valves work by constantly mixing hot and cold water to a pre-selected temperature. Even if there is a change in the water supply, the thermostat reacts by rebalancing the quantities of hot and cold water to maintain the correct temperature. In the most extreme case, i.e. should the cold water supply fail, the hot water shuts off automatically to prevent scalding. Style choices GROHE offers concealed and surface-mounted thermostats. With concealed models, the valve is installed behind the wall for a flush look. With surface-mounted thermostats, only the pipe work is behind the wall.

By increasing the sensitivity of the thermo element and restructuring the internal waterways, our thermostats react to abrupt changes in water pressure two times faster than before, and are up to nine times more accurate than the leading competitor’s. The desired temperature is reached in a fraction of a second and maintained for the duration of the shower.
Like all GROHE EcoJoy™ products, our thermostats feature integrated water-saving technology, allowing you to reduce your water and energy consumption without compromising on design or performance. User-friendly features Our thermostats also feature a SafeStop button, to prevent children from turning up the temperature and scalding themselves, and an EcoButton to reduce water usage by up to 50%. Our EasyLogic controls are intuitive to use and cater for the entire family, whatever their height, while the AquaDimmer allows you to turn the water on and off, adjust the flow rate and divert between two water outlets.

Creating innovative solutions for everyday problems is something that GROHE is proud of. GROHE Fresh brings a new level of convenience to the bathroom. It allows you to have the best of both worlds – the clean lines achieved from choosing a concealed cisterns and the continuous hygiene and cleanliness associated with cistern blocks. Until now, it was not possible to access a concealed cistern to add a cleaning block. GROHE Fresh features an easy-to-open actuation plate, which gives access to a slide that delivers the tablet into the cistern. The entire process takes seconds, thanks to the hinged plate that opens like a door. GROHE Fresh is compatible with all GROHE concealed cisterns with small actuation plates – whether it’s a new installation project or the upgrade of an existing one. It is offered as a set with the actuation plate of your choice, or as retrofit accessory to use with your current cistern and plate. For older cisterns, simply remove the fixing frame, add the slide to the cistern and attach the new frame, then re-connect the pneumatic hose to the actuation plate. For cisterns without the AV1 flushing valve, a complete upgrade kit is available. 1) 2) 3) 4)
