Foundation LotusHall Mining Heavy Engineering Construction Co., Ltd. (LotusHall Mining) was established as a fully registered company in the Kingdom of Thailand in 1996 to provide specialist mining and construction services to the mining industry throughout South East Asia, Indochina and the Pacific Rim. Since its inception the company has gained a solid reputation in the mining sector and in civil engineering projects associated with gold, copper and coal mining. LotusHall Mining has delivered bulk earthworks projects and contract mining services on schedule and to high standards of proficiency. LotusHall Mining views each project is independently to uniquely meet the client’s requirements and provides expertise and equipment to achieve objectives, schedules and scope of works. The company’s personnel have many years of experience and have acquired knowledge in efficient mining and construction practices particularly in gold, copper and coal operations, drilling and blasting, earthworks and the construction of dams, rural airstrips and roads.

Managing Director’s Statement

As Managing Director of LotusHall Mining, I would like to express the company’s sincere gratitude to all our clients that have given us the opportunity to participate in various major projects in both the civil engineering and mining industries over the past twelve years. Currently we are engaged as the primary mining contractor in two projects: In Thailand we are engaged by Akara Mining at the Chatree Gold Mine Project. We have successfully retendered for the North Chatree Expansion and have recently invested in and established a large new fleet of equipment on site to meet Akara’s needs. In Lao PDR we have been engaged by OZ Minerals at the Sepon Gold and Copper Mine since its beginning and have been successful in an international tender to secure the mining contract. LotusHall Mining has invested in and established new mining plant for this project to meet the clients expansion plans. LotusHall Mining has a highly qualified management team that is committed to the success of the projects we participate in for the mutual benefit of both parties. Building strong, long term working relationships with our clients is central to our philosophy.

Our Projects NORTH CHATREE

GOLD MINE PROJECT, Phichit, Thailand

Mining leases for the northern extension of the Chatree Gold Mine were granted in July 2008. LotusHall Mining has been mining at Chatree Gold Mine since the mine commenced in 1999 and was awarded a new contract for North Chatree in 2007 which will see the expansion of the operations. In July 2008 a new, larger mining equipment fleet commenced mobilisation and it is planned that LotusHall Mining’s total fleet of heavy equipment for Akara Mining will exceed 200 units by the end of the year.

CHATREE

GOLD MINE PROJECT, Phichit, Thailand LotusHall Mining has been mining at Chatree Gold Mine for Akara Mining for several years, including the initial mine development, and built a total fleet of 70 units of equipment and a workforce of almost 450. LotusHall Mining undertakes all aspects of mining to produce 12 million tonnes per year. The mining operations include drilling and blasting of ore and waste, loading and hauling of ore and waste, stockpiling, ROM crusher feed, waste dump rehabilitation, TSF construction and associated general earthworks, road building, etc.

GOLD & COPPER MINE PROJECT, Savannakhet, Lao PDR

GOLD MINE PROJECT, Xaisomboun, Lao PDR

In 2005-2007 LotusHall Mining was the main mining contractor at Phubia Gold & Copper Mine Project for Pan Australian which was the second mine developed in Lao and located in the Xaisomboun Province, north from Vientiane.

The Sepon Mine was the first mine to be developed in Lao and is located in the Savannakhet Province. It is owned by OZ Minerals (formerly Oxiana). The mine is now in its 7th year and undergoing expansion. LotusHall Mining has held contracts at Sepon since its beginning. At present the production of ore and waste is up to 1.6 million tonnes per month.
