1 Introduction This quick instruction guides how to configure and test the Lonix IP cameras.

2 General Default IP address of all the Lonix cameras is 192.168.1.200 (netmask: 255.255.255.0). Username and password is required to login to the camera live view and settings using web browser. Default login username is admin and password admin.

3 Getting started Connect a power adapter to the IP camera and connect it to local network. Set the PC monitor settings as follows: -

Right-click on the desktop. Select “Properties” and Change “Color Quality” to Highest (32bit).

CONFIGURATION USING WEB BROWSER -

Make sure that the subnet of IP address of the PC and the IP Camera are the same. For example:  Camera default IP address: 192.168.1.200  PC IP address: 192.168.1.100

You can modify the IP address of the PC by selecting:  Control Panel - Network Connections - Local Area Connection Properties - Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) – Properties

Launch a web browser and enter the following address to the address field of the browser:  http://192.168.1.200

Type in admin to the username field and password admin to the password field

Go to the settings page and change necessary networking parameters to match your system setup. Save settings by clicking “Save”-button.

To verify camera view, enter the IP address of the camera to the address field of the browser. The camera view will open in the browser.

CONFIGURATION USING IP INSTALLER UTILITY 1. Open IP Installer -

Use “IP Installer” software to assign an IP address for your camera. The IP Installer is delivered together with cameras on CD.

The User Interface of the IP Installer is as follows. Default IP address of all the Lonix cameras is 192.168.1.200 as seen in the image below.

2. Search for Cameras -

IP Installer will search all IP Cameras connected on LAN. You can click “Search Device” to search again.

3. Modify Parameters -

Select one of IP Cameras listed on the table on left side of IP Installer to see the current network configuration of the camera. Modify the parameters and select “Submit”. Click “OK” to reboot the IP Camera.

4. Verify Camera View -

Open a Web Browser and insert the IP address of the camera to the address field. The camera view will open in the browser.

5 Restoring factory default settings -

Factory default settings are restored by deleting all the settings in the IP camera.

For mini box cameras you can restore factory settings by unplugging the power adapter and pressing the button in the back of IP Camera. Keep the button pressed and plug the power adapter. Keep the button pressed until booting of the camera is ready.

Reconnect the IP Camera with the default IP address (http://192.168.1.200), user name (admin), and password (admin).

6 Camera configurations The following configurations can be modified for cameras using Web browser: System: - System Information - User Management - System Update Network: - IP Setting - PPPoE - DDNS - Mail & FTP A/V Settings: - Image Setting - Video Setting - Audio Events: - Event Setting - Schedule - I/O Setting - Log List - SD Card
