Features The LON-bus interface provides drive capability for floor repeater panels, parallel indicators and mimic panels. This enables system status to be viewed anywhere within a building. The LON-bus interface also enables remote operation of the fire control devices. Product features and capabilities The LON-Bus is a stand-alone information bus. It provides functions, which for security reasons, are not on the detector bus. Information displays, for example, floor repeater panels, etc. can be positioned up to 1000 metres from the control panel using easily managed, unshielded cabling. The easily installed LON-bus interface mounts within the control panel and supports the direct connection of floor repeater panels which make small autonomous control panels. – Up to 32 LON-Bus devices can be connected to FC700A control panel. – A maximum of 16 LON-Bus devices is possible with FC330A control panel. Application The LON-bus is ideal for use in large buildings. It enables system status information to be viewed and controlled independent of the location of the main control panel by the addition of floor repeater panels, parallel indicators and mimic panels. Specific installation or plant requirements can be easily met with the LON-bus. For example, warning devices (emergency exit signs etc.) can be operated via additional relay cards that may be individually controlled in the event of an emergency. Installation – Standard twisted (min. 10 turns per metre) and unshielded cable. – Max. length: up to 1000 m if used as stub line, up to 500 m if used as free topology. – Free polarity.

System overview (continued) [1] FC700A Addressable networkable fire control panel Up to 16 FC700A fire control panels can be connected via C-Bus network. Each FC700A control panel accommodates up to 1000 devices. LON-Bus devices are connected to FC700A via IBus / LON-Bus interface. [2] I-Bus / LON-Bus interface E3I040 for FC700A control panel and FT700A operating terminal Converter between I-Bus and LON-Bus. Up to 32 LON-Bus devices connectable. Monitored two-wire bus without loop line function. Mounting accessory Z1B070 To secure the LON interface E3I040 in H28G200 (FT700A) housing. Note: Incorporation of LON interface E3I040 in the FT700A operating terminal prohibits the addition of B3R051 parallel indicator panel on the H28T110 door. [3] FC330A Two-loop addressable fire control panel Expandable to four loops. Accommodates up to 512 addressable devices. LON-Bus devices are connected to FC330A via RS232 / LON-Bus interface. [4] FC330A-ECO1 One-loop addressable fire control panel Accommodates up to 128 addressable devices. LON-Bus is connected to FC330A-ECO1 via RS232 / LON-Bus interface.

[5] RS232 / LON-Bus interface K3I080 for FC330A and FC330A-ECO1 control panels K3I080 can be fitted within the panel at any time for expansion or retrofit purposes. Up to 16 LON-Bus devices connectable. Monitored two-wire bus without loop line function. [6] + [7] + [8] Floor repeater panels Floor repeater panels display system messages in areas remote from the panel. For example, in another floor, wing or building. All alarm messages can be indicated on all floor repeater panels and the control panel. Floor repeater panels are constantly monitored. If the LON-bus cabling is cut, a fault message is shown on the affected floor repeater panel and the control panel. Floor repeater panels do not require configuration. All that is required is for an address to be locally set. 32 (FC700A) or 16 (FC330A) floor repeater panels can be directly connected to the LON-bus. Different types of repeater panels with or without control functions are available to suite customer needs.

[6] Floor repeater panel B3Q580 The floor repeater panel (B3Q580) is designed for the remote indication of system messages. Panels can selectively display messages; alarms, warnings and faults. A user-friendly scroll key enables viewing of up to 200 messages. A built-in buzzer provides additional audible notification of alarm messages. [7] Floor repeater panel with control functions B3Q590 The floor repeater panel (B3Q590) is used both for the remote indication of messages and to provide acknowledge and reset control functions in the event of an alarm. B3Q590 is ideally suited as a mini control centre at entrances. It enables the control panel to be reset to normal operation after an event, simply by pressing a button. Operation of the B3Q590 is enabled by means of a key switch. [8] Floor repeater panel with control functions B3Q595 The B3Q595 is a further development of the B3Q590 with the same features and advantages. Additionally, B3Q595 can be included within a like-keyed security concept. [9] Input / Output card K3I110 The K3I110 offers 16 inputs and 16 outputs (relay potential free 30V/1A) at the same time. The inputs can be supervised alternatively on “open line” or “open line” and “short circuit”. On the LON-bus up to 32 (FC700A) or 16 (FC330A) input / output-cards can be connected. [10] LON / mimic converter K3I050 On the LON-bus up to 32 (FC700A) or 16 (FC330A) LON / mimic converters (K3I050) can be connected. Each can drive up to 24 LED indicating panels (B3R051) or 24 output driver cards (K3R072). 8 individual addresses for B3R051 / K3R072 on the local data bus are possible with FC700A control panel, or two individual addresses are possible with FC330A / FC330A-ECO1 control panel. K3I050 has buzzer, lamp test and other inputs / outputs. [11] LED indicating panel B3R051 Events associated with fire zones or areas are displayed in the simplest manner using the B3R051 LED indicating panels. Two multiplied 24 coloured LEDs show the state of the system at any time. Red indicates an alarm and yellow indicates that the relevant zone is switched off (e.g. due to building maintenance work, etc.). B3R051 panels are connected to the LON-bus by means of K3I050 converters. Up to 24 LED indicating panels (B3R051) displaying identical information may be connected to a single K3I050 converter.

System overview (continued) [12] Output driver card K3R072 A single K3R072 driver output card supports 2 devices; either 2 relay cards (K3G060); or 2 LED flat cables (F50F410), or one of each, for a total of 48 individually addressable outputs. K3R072 has buzzer, lamp test and other inputs / outputs

[14] Mimic panel Mimic panels can be easily designed around a site layout or floor plan using K3R072 output driver cards and F50F410 LED flat cables. The required floor plan or situation plan forms the front of the mimic panel. The individually addressable LEDs of the flat cable are the information carriers on the front panel in the same manner as LED indicating panel B3R051. The LED flat cables connect directly to the K3R072 output driver cards. The complete mimic panel connects to the LON-bus via the K3I050 LON/mimic converter card.

[13] Relay card K3G060 Customer requirements can be exactly met by means of K3G060 relay cards. 24 individually addressable relays provide outputs for installation controls such as control of emergency exit signs, voice alarms, announcements, etc.

[15] LED ribbon cable, 1m, with 24 red LED's F50F410 Two F50F410 LED cables can be connected directly to the driver output card (K3R072) to offer a total of 48 (2 x 24) red LED. The LED can be easily configured via the Synova configuration tool SWE330A. Cable length 1 m.
