Approaching Webcasts

Event Logistics How long will the webcast last? Does the location where the webcast will be held have dedicated high speed internet access? Preferably 700 Kbps or higher bandwidth.

Do you want to direct the audience to your website for the webcast, a third party site? Do you need a landing page for the event?

Do you need a dial in phone number for those who cannot access the webcast on a computer? Does this event need to be password protected or can anyone/those registered join?

Production Options How many cameras will you need? Can you tap into the audio? Do you need sound reinforcement? Will you be taking live questions during the webcast? Live via chat? From email? Twitter? Live microphone at event?

Content Options Will your event have accompanying slide presentations? One video screen that switches back and forth? Dual screen with video on one side and the slides on another?

Will there be accompanying graphics with the webcast? Any outside videos to play during the webcast? Make sure the location has a Public Static IP address

Audience Participation How many viewers do you anticipate will be logged in? Would you like viewers to register for the event? Would you like the webcast archived for future viewing? On your site? A third party site? The same portal the original webcast was viewed?
