Litmos eLearning The addition of Litmos eLearning is simply adding to the existing eLearning functions available within Training Ops. eLearning courses will be created in the same fashion and will contain the same settings such as pricing, attendee groups, etc. The Litmos eLearning integration allows Training Ops administrators to create course content in a modular form. What this means is that administrators will be allowed to upload content from their computer, as well as create assessment and survey modules into online courses. Add a New Module to a Course Over the years the Litmos team found that most people building courses in Litmos LMS already have some content that they want to deliver online. So, the Litmos team made it super easy for administrators to create courses by uploading existing content, or by adding a "Create" module, such as an assessment or survey, as modules within an eLearning course.

Modules are the different types of content within a Litmos eLearning course. All modules must be within a course and each module can only hold one type of content. There are three types of module creation: Upload, Create, and Browse. You have several options as to the type of module you can create as part of your eLearning course: Upload: ●

Video – Upload a video file (max file size: 1GB). The video will be viewable in a similar format to that of YouTube only it’s private so only the people on your course can see it. To learn more about video as it relates to a Litmos eLearning module, please click here. PowerPoint or OpenOffice – Upload your presentations (max file size: 30Mb) and they will be viewable online without your trainees needing to have PowerPoint installed on their computer. To learn more, please click here.

SCORM – Upload a SCORM 1.2 compliant zip file (max file size: 500Mb). Anything from Captivate, Articulate, Camtasia etc will work perfectly! To learn more, please click here. ● Flash Movie – Upload Flash (SWF) objects (max file size: 300Mb) that you have created in other applications. Create: ●

Assessment - Create an assessment containing Multiple Choice, Keyword, and Free Text / Essay style questions. To learn more, please click here. ● Survey – Create a simple survey using a mixture of different question types to gauge the effectiveness of your course, or just find out more about your trainees. ● Page of information - Create a page of text or an intricate page with HTML. To learn more, please click here. ● Embed - Use this option to embed publicly available content from other websites such as YouTube or Slideshare. To learn more, please click here. ● Link to another website - IFrame content from another website into your Litmos instance. Browse: ●

Duplicate or Link – Use this option to include a module that you have created in another course. If a module is “Linked” between one or more courses the trainee will only have to complete it once. If you want to use most of a module contained in another course but add a little extra to it, you should use the “Duplicate” option. To learn more, please click here. Note: Upload modules have a file limit as defined above. There is no limit to the number of modules or the file size for the course. ●

To create a new module: Make sure the “Litmos” tab is selected within your Training Ops eLearning course 2. Within the Content sub tab of the Course (by default, this is the first tab selected when opening a course). 3. Select if you want to Upload, Create or Browse. 4. Litmos Reports As a Training Ops administrator, in order to review attendee answers to a Litmos Assessment or Survey module, or to view SCORM data related to a SCORM pack added to a Litmos eLearning course, we’ve added Litmos reporting to Training Ops. With the upgrade, when you go to MANAGING DATA -> REPORTS, a new button labeled “Litmos Reports” has been added. From here, you’ll have 3 reporting options, Assessment Report, Survey Report, and SCORM Data report which will allow you to drill into specific data, down to an attendee level.
