Student life There is more to a study abroad experience than going to lectures and studying in the reading room. At LUC there are many student clubs you can join, e.g. film, photo, outdoor recreation, music, basketball, hockey, volleyball, skiing, dancing, student choir, student newspaper (ProfHiL) and student radio. If there is no club within your field of interest, you can start one! In Lillehammer there is also a wide variety of different bars, clubs and restaurants creating an exciting nightlife. One of the bars is Bingo’n, which is run by the students. This student pub organizes parties, social events, concerts, quiz nights and a student festival once a year.

Snow & fun The Lillehammer region is truly a winter wonderland! The first snow usually comes in November, and from December to the end of March the landscape is covered in white. Very few places in the world can offer such a vast selection of snow-related activities; cross country skiing, snowboarding, downhill skiing, tobogganing, sledding, etc. Alpine ski centres are usually open until the end of April. In spring and summer you can enjoy Mjøsa beach. This is a grass beach next to lake Mjøsa. The beach offers great opportunity for relaxation, barbecuing, beach volleyball and other activities.
