LETTER TO THE UNIVERSE Introduction Do you seek a better quality of life (a better job, more money, improved relationships) and want to know how this can be achieved? Or, are you are feeling that life is tough at the moment and it is difficult to see beyond it to a better future? Are you searching for a way to change some fundamental aspects of your life? Have you been searching for a tool to help you create what you desire? The truth is that you have the power to create all of your desires. Your mind, thoughts and desires are more powerful than you can possibly imagine. This truth states that everything in your life has and will be created by those thought processes. It also states that the Universe (or God, or however you define the divine influence in your life) always wants what you choose, making no distinction between good or bad, right or wrong. Simply put, focusing on “things” creates a magnet to attract people, events, and objects into your life. The Letter to the Universe is an amazingly powerful tool in this process of creation of your dreams and desires. Properly used, it will help you bring all the things that you wish for into your life.

The Dimensions Before you begin the actual Letter to the Universe, it will help to understand some of the basic concepts and energies that make it work. Third dimension The dimension that we live in is commonly referred to as the third dimension (3D). In our third dimension, everything vibrates — the computer screen, the desk, even our bodies. The rate of vibrations determines the fluidity or solidity of an object. The things that we wish to bring into our lives must also vibrate in the third dimension if we are to have them. Fourth dimension Our thoughts do not exist in our 3D reality, but in the next dimension up, the fourth dimension. This is still a vibration, but it is so fast that we cannot see it, only think it. All of our thoughts and psychic connections (thoughts that we share with others) happen in the fourth dimension. The fourth dimension holds all the belief systems that we act upon every day, and has great potential for change and movement. Fifth dimension The fifth dimension (5D), and above, is where unconditional love and gratitude comes from. Things from 5D vibrate so fast that often we cannot think clearly

about them — they are beyond our comprehension. Gratitude is a process that assumes that we are thankful for something in our lives, regardless of whether we think it is good or bad.

Points to remember •

The Letter to the Universe is the process of taking something that we love and desire from the fourth and fifth dimension and slowing down its vibration until we can see it here in front of us, manifested in our lives.

The Universe does not distinguish between good or bad as we do. If our mental focus is on the absence of something in our life, then that is exactly what we will create: the continuing absence of that thing.

Ultimately, if we wish to stop creating lack in our lives and start focusing on gaining something, we will need to utilise the energy of all three dimensions.

Identification Having a clear idea What is it that you wish to create? View the product/want/thought from the perspective of the third, fourth and fifth dimensions. One of the most effective tools for grounding something in the third dimension is to write it down, or draw a symbol to represent it — or both. Some of these questions will assist: Third-dimensional questions What exactly is it that I want to create? What does it look/taste/smell like? Where is it in my life? Where can I see it/myself with it? What would (the product/thought/relationship/job) look like if I had it here in front of me? Fourth-dimensional questions What is the opposite of what I currently think about having? How do I feel about having this? What emotions does it elicit? Where have I seen this, and how did I feel about it? Fifth-dimensional questions If I loved myself enough, what would I create for myself? What qualities are important in the creation of this? What would my higher self/angel/god wish for me to have? How would it look if I thought I was worthy of it?

When you are crystal clear about what you wish to create, it’s simply a process of bringing those fourth-dimensional ideas, tied with fifth-dimensional love and gratitude, into the third dimension.

Wants & needs vs haves The mental state of wanting something is all but opposite to the mental state of having it. Although this seems obvious, it is crucial that you understand its significance. The same applies for needing or wishing for something. This is why your Letter to the Universe cannot be a statement of want or need. Avoid using words and statements like worthy of, will be, want, and so on. Before you begin writing your letter to the universe, it is important to make a distinction between wanting something and having it. It seems strange to write a letter about things that haven’t happened, but that old saying is very true: ‘If you say something often enough, you will begin to believe it.’ The great sports coaches of the world encourage their athletes to visualise their goal before they perform. It is well documented that the body reacts as if it had actually performed the event. The mind does not distinguish between visualisations and actual events.

Beginning your letter Begin your letter by naming any part of the divine that resonates with you. You may choose simply to start with Dear Universe, or Dear God, or cover all bases with something like Dear Universe, God, Angels, Guides, Higher Self and Loved Ones (my personal favourite). Try to fill the body of your letter with phrases like: I have... I believe… I am now in a position of… I am being paid… I hereby create… I am worthy of… This letter must be a clear representation of what we wish to create. Other helpful phrases include: I work with people who respect me and whom I respect. My job is easy on my body. I wake up every morning with a joy of knowing I am… I create more than $__ per week/per annum/profit, etc. I love what I do. He/she respects me for who I am, and so do I. Compassion is important to me and I find that reflection in her. Letter to the Universe © Danielle Storey 3

My children respect me. My husband deeply understands me. My wife and I share a truly equal and fulfilling relationship. Notice that these expressions are all worded in the present tense. That is, the letter is worded as though the things that you desire are already here in the present moment (my job is easy, he respects me). This is vital. If you are still struggling with this concept, just imagine that you already have the object that you desire. Intersperse statements like the ones above with expressions of gratitude such as: I love who I am. I deeply love and accept myself. Because I deeply love and accept myself I create… I give great thanks to the divine for the situations I find myself in. I am grateful for the love that means I find the answers I need to create… I am grateful to God for… The angels are my delight — I have joy in communing every day. And so on. As with any letter, begin with a salutation (Dear ____ ), follow with a body, and conclude with a signature. Unlike a normal letter, this is not newsy (“This is what has been happening in my life”), but a statement of how things would be if they were as you would have them be right now. When you have finished, don’t forget to sign your full name. Underneath (or at the top of the page if you wish to make it a letterhead), draw a symbol that represents this Letter to the Universe. This symbol can now be doodled by you anywhere, and it will remind you of your letter. Each time you see or draw it, you will be affirming your chosen manifestations from the fourth and fifth dimensions, and drawing them ever more quickly into the third dimension and your life.

What to do with your letter Finally, fold your letter and place it where you can read it to yourself at least twice a day. Don’t stress if you forget sometimes. Other times you may choose to read it more than twice. You may read it out loud or, if you have no private space, you may simply choose to read it quietly. And that’s it. Simple!

Additional Notes and Examples

The more detail is in your goal, the longer it will take for your manifestation to come true. This is because you have given yourself many details to create. Being less specific allows for more options and quicker manifesting. However, this also creates a wider variation in results. Take, for example, Mary. She wanted to manifest a job which she thought she was unqualified for (untrue, of course!). She followed the laws as outlined here. Ten minutes later she received a call from the lady down the road, asking if she would clean her house once a week for payment. Mary was thrilled at the speed with which the Letter to the Universe worked, but devastated because she had a bad back and couldn’t possibly clean a house. I asked her if her letter included details that the job had to be friendly on her back. Needless to say, she was more specific in her next letter. Although it took a month longer, her local council actually created a brand new role for her. Another lady, Cathy, wrote a Letter to the Universe to manifest a new job. Within two days she had exactly what she asked for, without exception. I have written Letters to the Universe, and had a jobs and money in less than 24 hours. Sometimes those jobs have come as a phone call, seemingly out of nowhere. I also often write about a number of separate topics in one letter. Another lady wrote a Letter to the Universe to manifest a relationship. She was very specific and wrote a huge list of qualities that she wanted in a man. She left off one important quality — compassion. True to her letter, she received exactly what she wrote about, in three weeks. She is still married to that man that struggles with compassion.

A Personal Tool A Letter to the Universe is a powerful tool, but it is a personal tool only. It is not possible to write a Letter to the Universe to change someone else. If you wish to alter a relationship, be prepared to change if you write a Letter to the Universe.

Finally This really works. Have fun with the process. I will publish some stories about people who have enjoyed writing Letters to the Universe.
