Dear Charity Champion Let’s celebrate Christmas together This year, East Cheshire Hospice is proud to celebrate 25 years of making every moment count. We have 25 festive fundraising ideas that you can take part in over the Christmas period, to help you to get into the festive spirit and raise money for your local Hospice. Please find enclosed a Charity of the year booklet and your complete guide to Christmas; a one stop pack which will give you and your colleagues plenty of ideas to celebrate Christmas in the work place whilst supporting East Cheshire Hospice. We want to encourage you to take part in as many fundraising activities as you can, but if you only have time for one then why not choose to take part in Reindeer Run! For anyone new to Reindeer Run I assure you that it is incredibly simple to organise and can be worked into any lunch break throughout December. All we ask is that you set a physical challenge for employees and colleagues; this can be anything from a lap of the office building to an office chair race. Each employee taking part will be given their own set of reindeer antlers, a flashing nose and a sponsorship envelope. Santa suits are also available for the Boss! Whatever obstacle you choose and whether you run, walk or fly, above all we want you to have fun and encourage your colleagues to raise as much money as they can for our Hospice. Raising individual sponsorship of just £22.45 would pay for a Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day dinner for one of our patients, whilst raising £352 as a whole office would mean that we can provide enough medication for 15 patients in a 24hour period so that they can be pain free over the Christmas period. If you would like to host your own Reindeer Run in support of East Cheshire Hospice or you want to get involved with the Hospice in any of the other ways mentioned in the Charity of the year booklet then contact me directly on 01625 433477 or email [email protected] We hope you can help us to make Christmas count for patients at the Hospice; every penny you raise really will make a difference. Kind Regards
