Case Studies Wal-Mart Choose Honeywell LED In China, Wal-Mart has over 100 stores, all of which are lit by Honeywell LED lighting solutions. Wal-Mart in conjunction with Honeywell, undertook an extensive audit of their current and future lighting requirements.

We aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions generated by our supply chain by 20 million tons, and we’re targeting a 20 per cent reduction of greenhouse gases at some stores by 2015. Honeywell LED Lighting helps Manchester University lead the way in Carbon Reduction

Manchester University replaced 120W T12 fluorescent luminaires with Honeywell LED Lighting Battens, resulting in: • A load reduction of 70% • Savings of approximately 20,000 kWh per year, which is equivalent to about 8.6

Manchester University is the largest single site university in Britain, with 300 buildings over 299 acres and 50 miles of corridors. Faced with a 5% year-on-year carbon reduction target, energy engineer Damian Oatway analysed the University’s energy consumption and estimated that 55% of that energy was consumed by lighting.

External Driver Design All Honeywell luminaires are supplied with Drivers that are designed to be external to the tube. This feature allows us to achieve greater reliability and a lower total cost of ownership compared to LED tubes that contain internal drivers. To facilitate the use of Honeywell LED Tubes with other manufacturer luminaires, Honeywell LED Tube and Drivers are available for ordering separately and can be utilised where verified.

Honeywell’s unique external driver design minimises the effect of heat depreciating the lumens output of LEDs, and delivers greater system life compared to traditional internal driver systems, resulting in an industry leading 5 year warranty. When coupled with Ex-Or’s Managed Lighting Systems, even greater savings can be achieved.

Retrofit Opportunities We appreciate that customers may already have existing luminaires that they wish to retain and retrofit.
