Live 3D Transesophageal Echo Philips Education – in Echo Lab and Cath Lab A 1.5 days training course introducing the use of the Live 3D Transesophageal transducer in the echo lab and in the cath lab.

Evelina Hospital, Guy’s and St Thomas’ Trust Philips Education – 3D Echocardiography in Structural Heart Disease This is a two day course on the current applications of three-dimensional echocardiography in structural heart disease.
Clinical Continuing Education
There will be a strong emphasis on the practical aspects of such technique including acquisition of 3D datasets and use of Philips’ QLAB software; manipulation of normal 3D datasets and those with congenital heart disease. Practical interactive sessions in which participants can crop and orientate datasets with experienced staff; evaluation of left ventricular function. The course faculty is from the Department of Congenital Heart Disease, Evelina Children’s Hospital, Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. This course is awarded with 1.5 BSE points.

The Manchester TOE course Philips Education – Echo pathology and case reviews This is a two day training course aimed at cardiac physiologists, cardiologists, physicians, cardiac anaesthetists, intensivists and cardiothoracic surgeons.
Clinical Continuing Education
The course is packed with lectures on echo pathology and case reviews. There are also sessions with one-to-one training on TOE simulators and 3D workstations for delegates choosing option 1 (see below). The course will provide vital revision for anyone intending to sit the accreditation exam at the BSE/EACTA 2011 meetings. For the more experienced TOE operator there will also be opportunities to see TOE cases from the catheter lab in the context of intervention for structural heart disease, including the use of 3D TOE.
