TECHNICAL OVERVIEW The Lancaster Performing Arts Center is a City-owned venue opened in October, 1991 with non-union staffing of 4 full-time and 70 part-time personnel. The main stage has variable seating capacities of 758 to 794 people (36 Pit Apron, 478 Orchestra, 280 Balcony) using a continental seating plan. The main theatre has a 57’- 6” overhung fly tower with grid and chain hoist orchestra pit for 8 to 20 musicians. Next to main stage is the Black Box Theatre with adjustable seating configurations from 110 to 140 people dependant upon its use.

AUDIO SYSTEM LPAC operates in-house sound for rental and certain season productions based on both needs of equipment and needs of individual groups. Larger touring groups that require LPAC to provide front of house world, monitor world and backline are supplied through trusted outside vendors as required per contracts. Groups that carry their own FOH/monitor worlds are provided in-house power and dedicated areas for their worlds listed below.
