ladies’ spring luncheon

By Ruth Sibma, Ladies’ Captain

We started our 2016 season with the Ladies’ Spring Luncheon on April 14th. It was wonderful to see 87 ladies come together after a long winter. Many new members were there and also dear friends we hadn’t seen in some time. A terrific lunch was prepared by Chef Joe followed by Bridge and Mah Jongg. It was a fun afternoon with more great get togethers to come.

ladies’ Mah jongg

You may be hearing the clicking of tiles and shouts of “Mahj!!” around the club house. at is the sound of over 30 HG&CC ladies who have learned to play American Mah Jongg. Many have been playing at their winter homes in Florida while those who have weathered winter here have enjoyed twice weekly games. Would you like to learn this challenging and addictive game? Five-week Introduction to Mah Jongg lessons will be available: • Mondays: 9:30 am to 12:00 pm beginning May 30 • Wednesdays: 9:30 am to 12:00 pm beginning May 11 Space is limited to 8 players for each class. Cost $15 covers the 2016 NMJL card and instruction. Contact Anita Mullen at  [email protected] for more information.
