High Precision, High Rigidity All in One Structure The L280 features a 60° slant bed design which was developed using finite element analysis (FEA) to absorb vibration and minimize thermal growth, ensures a stable platform for powerful, precise cutting capabilities.

LM Guideway To obtain excellent travel ability, the L280 series is equipped with high performance LM Guide on all axis. It performs optimally when cutting delicate parts du to the degree of repetition precision.

Main Spindle The main spindle has become sturdier by enlarging its diameter and thickness. Its sturdiness and accuracy are also maintained by the use of highly accurate angular ball bearings.

Turret Ball Screw Each Axis are designed with a large diameter ball-screw, fixed by double anchors on both ends to provide high rigidity and minimize thermal distortion.

Turret is installed with a 3-piece coupling, which results in an excellent degree of division. The strong tool clamp power due to oil pressure minimizes the displacement of the blade tip of the tool caused by a load, which plays a powerful role in a heavy cutting operation.

Main Spindle The main spindle of L280 series products is designed with a combination of Ø140mm(Ø5.5″) ball bearings and double angular contact ball bearings. It makes highly accurate uniform cutting possible even during high-speed consecutive operations. In particular, the enhanced processing and assembling accuracy of the outer ring assembly of the bearings enables the spindle unit to maintain accuracy for a long time. in adittion, the AC spindle motor controlling the speed of the main spindle makes a steady machining operation possible.

C-Axis Control L280LM, whose main spindle is equipped with C-Axis 0.001˚ control function, can process products of various configurations.

(MT#5) Tail Stock • The large (MT#5) tail stock ensures high accuracy even during heavy, powerful cutting. • The quill’s 100mm(3.9″) of feed can be operated by foot pedal, or programed. • The quill is also able to move manually by using the JOG button or MPG.
