KOTO Vocational Training Centre - a social enterprise model

Foreword •

KOTO’s 24-month hospitality, English and life skills program enables Vietnam’s street and disadvantaged youth to acquire the skills to gain employment and break the poverty cycle.

•

KOTO provides a family environment where the trainees can be themselves and grow into happy, confident young adults ready for the rigors of the hospitality industry and to deal with life’s challenges.

•

KOTO is a not for profit social enterprise and is free of charge for trainees to attend. KOTO’s revenue comes largely from its restaurants and catering service, as well as its trainee sponsorship program. All profit is invested back into the organisation for the good of the trainees.

•

Recruited trainees are further provided with initial heal checks, vaccinations, uniforms, laundry, meals, accommodation in shared housing, and a monthly training allowance.

OUR MISSION We believe street and disadvantaged youth should have access to holistic and vocational skill development opportunities, in a nurturing environment, where each family member builds self-confidence and is empowered to live a life of dignity and happiness. OUR VISION As a social enterprise that provides positive change to the lives of street and disadvantaged youth, our vision is to be increasingly internationally prominent and successful, allowing us to spread our model to more communities. Wherever there is abandonment, neglect and abuse, we will be there. OUR CULTURE We are a family who cares about all others and where big smiles bring the promise of love, compassion and security. We work hard because we believe we can make a difference and because we love our organization for all it represents.
