Once a place where Korean antiques and old paintings were sold, Insa-dong is today a popular tourist destination for the buying of traditional goods and souvenirs. There are over 100 smallto-large galleries in the area. You can see every example of traditional Korean fine art from paintings to sculptures, while each alleyway is filled with teahouses and restaurants.

Literally “West Village,” Seochon is located west of Gyeongbokgung Palace. Both traditional and modernstyle houses stand huddled together.

As one of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Korea, Jongmyo Shrine has kept the memorial tablets of the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910) royal family for around 520 years.

Located at the corner of Seoul’s busiest downtown intersection, Deoksugung Palace is famous for its elegant stone-wall road. It is also the only palace that sits alongside a series of western style buildings that add to the uniqueness of the surrounding scenery.
