2011- Operation Safe Homecoming - during the Libyan War - thousands evacuated over water and land through Egypt 2006- Operation Sukoon during Lebanon War - nearly 2288 nationals evacuated with the help of Indian Navy, and Air India through Cyprus 2014- 5th July special flight to EBRIL, Iraq to bring back stranded nurses
2013- Uttarakhand FloodsOperated additional flights from Dehradun to bring back stranded pilgrims.
2014- 2nd Aug special flight to Djerba in Tunisia - to pick up 200 stranded Indians from neighbouring war torn Libya
AIR INDIA … Lesser known Humanitarian side … continued 2014- Sept - Special flights for flood hit Srinagar and Leh - Rescue stranded citizens - 11 tonnes of relief material, drinking water, medicines and blankets delivered
2015- Dec – Rescue flights rushed to flood-hit Chennai, with Chennai closed, test flights from Hyderabad to Rajali.
2015---From April 3-9 and on 14th, Air India operated a total of 19 flights between Djibouti and Sana'a to bring out 3614 evacuees out of Sana'a. Air India evacuated more than 50 per cent of the total evacuees.
Air India has operated more than 20 flights annually with an all women crew and pilots.
