The plants shown in this file have varying requirements. I didn’t have time to separate them as to sun or shade. Some shade-plants, such as some of the Coral Bells, can be grown in greater amounts of sun if they are kept consistently moist and not be allowed to dry out. Some sun-plants must have full sun while others enjoy a little protection from the hot afternoon sun. Many can get by with just a few hours of good sun, too. Some fast growing & spreading plants listed as sun plants can be grown in more shade to slow down their spread.
