Dear Kings Highway Family, “How can I thank God enough for you in return for all the joy I have in the presence of our God because of you.” This is a scripture I read one time and it truly means a lot to me. All the prayers, being with me the day of surgery, the cards, flowers, food, phone calls, visits and on and on, has meant so much to me as I travel the Cancer Road. My doctors tell me I am “cancer free” and I give thanks to God and my wonderful doctor, Dr. Julie Mook. Keep me in your prayers as I begin my thirty preventive radiation treatments this week. My thanks to you for all the sunshine you have given to me when it seemed so dark. Blessings to each of you. Faye Farmer

JYF Kick-Off Activities (Grades 3rd-5th) Kick-Off Party, September 15th, 12:15 - 2:30 pm.
Youth Ministry Chi Rho Activities & Kick-Off (Grades 6th-8th) Saturday, September 7th, 10:00 am ‘til noon, kids and parents help set up for Chi Rho Potato Lunch. Sunday, September 8th, Chi Rho Potato Lunch immediately following Celebration Sunday combined service. Kids and parents meet Miss Renée in FLC kitchen at 8:30 am for final preparation. Sunday, September 15th, Chi Rho Activities Kick-Off party! We’ll leave from the FLC at 12:15 and enjoy hamburger/hotdog lunch and pool party at the Newton’s, returning to the church at 2:30. Kids: bring appropriate bathing suit, towel, sunscreen, and a loving heart as we help our in-coming Chi Rho members know how glad we are to have them! (Call or text if ya’ll need details - 347-098.)
