In this section you will find all the key dates for the academic year.

1.1

Entry and registration deadlines for 2015–2016 Our entry deadlines and late fee dates are listed below with an explanation of the late fees that are applied. For each exam series you will see the entry deadline, the late fee date, the amendment fee date and high late fee date. We have also included the date on which basedata will be available on our website (qualifications.pearson. com/basedata). From this date you will also be able to use Edexcel Online or EDI for that exam series to submit entries. If you are having difficulties meeting the entry deadline, for example your MIS has crashed, please contact us and we will support your entry submission process. If you require information on EDI, please go to qualifications.pearson.com/edi Please refer to the qualification sections of this manual for subject availability in each examination series.

Please submit entries using EDI or Edexcel Online. Edexcel Online is available for use from the time that the basedata is released for a particular examination series. You need to register students for Applied GCE, CiDA/DiDA and next generation NQF BTEC before submitting entries. We will automatically register any student for Applied GCE or CiDA/DiDA if no registration exists on the lowest available programme of study. This may result in higher entry costs over the study period.

1.2

Late fees explained



After the entry deadline, late fees will be incurred. From the late fee date, the entry (unit or subject) fee is doubled. The entry fee is trebled after the high late fee date. Amendment fees will be charged if you change a subject option – this can be a change of tier or change of option (papers). Amendment fees double after the high late fee date. You will not incur a fee for changing candidate details (such as name amendments) unless a certificate has been issued.

1.3 Refunds

Any unit or linear fee will be refunded automatically up to the high late fee date. If you withdraw an entry after this date, no refund will be issued without supporting medical evidence.



If a late entry is withdrawn by the high late fee date, only the entry fee is refunded.

1.4

Coursework mark submission and deadlines You can submit coursework marks by EDI, Edexcel Online or using OPTEMS. The deadlines are listed below. We receive the majority of marks at the deadline. If we have not received your coursework marks, we will contact you after the deadline.

Certification receipt dates We will issue all November 2015 exam series certificates by 26 February 2016. All January 2016 certificates will be issued by 27 May 2016. All March 2016 certificates will be issued by 27 June 2016. All June 2016 certificates will be issued by 31 October 2016. You will receive your ELC(A) certificates on, or shortly after, 24 August 2016.

1.7

Early certification requests If you require your certificates to arrive earlier, we will aim to meet your requirements. All you need to do is email your request to [email protected] and we will confirm if the request can be met.

1.8

Certificate retention It is no longer necessary to return uncollected certificates to us. They may be destroyed (in a confidential manner) after retention for a period of no less than 12 months from the date of issue.
