KENYA AND MAASAI MARA ADVENTURE

16 DAY SOLO TOUR

Two’s a Crowd and RAW Africa Ecotours are proud to once again join forces to bring you an extraordinary solos-only tour to amazing Africa. RAW Africa Ecotours is a leading Eco Adventure tour operator and together we will provide you with life changing experiences, unique wildlife encounters, exceptional quality and a comfortable journey along the way. Of course, you’ll have your own room too. Visit the famous Sheldrake Elephant Orphanage in Nairobi, view bird life from the treetops on a canopy walk. Camp under the stars and listen to the roars of distant lions. Watch elephants, antelope and monkeys come to drink at a water hole from the room of your 5 star lodge, run by the Il Ngwesi Maasai people. RAW Africa’s safari guides will take you along roads less travelled and offer you truly enriching experiences with exotic wildlife and extraordinary communities. Be part of our journey to secure the future of African wildlife through supporting community enterprise development and alternative livelihoods. You can help do this by purchasing beautiful local handicrafts made by the very communities that you will meet during your African journey. Nothing is as truly wild and RAW as Kenya, home to the Maasai and some of the most unique wildlife in East Africa. See yourself lying in your bed, listening to the sounds of the African night. Be captivated by African skies and sunsets over beautiful landscapes without another soul in sight. Meet the community of Il Ngwesi and learn about traditional Maasai life seated around a campfire under a magical African night sky. Conclude your journey at Il Ngwesi Conservancy’s five star lodge set into the cliffs of one of Laikipia District’s most stunning valleys.

KENYA - How you can help support people & wildlife: Buy Beads! In northern Kenya, wildlife competes with livestock for grazing and water. Il Ngwesi Conservancy and our partner tour operator, RAW Africa Ecotours support Maasai women to earn a sustainable income through selling their beautiful beaded products. Purchase a piece of beadwork and you’ll help decrease reliance on livestock for income, and support people and wildlife at the same time. www.ilngwesi.com

SAFETY AND SECURITY The safety and security of our clients is our number one priority at all times. While travelling throughout Kenya and Uganda, here are the steps we take to make your journey smooth and hassle free:

• All transfers are private—we don’t use shared transfers for our clients • The hotels we use in Nairobi are very secure and located in quiet suburban locations—outside the CBD • Our guides are all locals (not flown in from other countries) so they are very well connected with local communities and law enforcement agencies. Even the slightest security concerns can be acted upon quickly by, for example, changing the itinerary • We do not venture near areas bordering countries to the north such as Somalia and South Sudan • Our campsites are very carefully chosen for their safe and secure locations • Once we leave Nairobi we are joined by a government ranger who travels with the group throughout • Other hotels in Kenya and in Uganda have been selected for their reputation of being safe and secure
