Tournament Information

Match Format All matches will be singles only with a single elimination draw played to the best-ofthree tiebreak sets.

Player Requirements/ Advancement All players are required to complete the "US Open National Playoffs Player Release and Consent Form" prior to the player's first match. This tournament is part of the US Open National Playoffs – a series of tournaments that gives any player 14 years of age or older who meets the eligibility requirements the opportunity to qualify for the 2012 US Open. Sixteen USTA sections will run a Sectional Qualifying Tournament to include a men’s singles, women’s singles and mixed doubles division between April 1 and July 4. With a maximum of a 256 singles draw and a 128 mixed doubles team draw, players/teams will compete in a single elimination draw. Singles players will play to the best-of-three

tiebreak sets and mixed doubles teams will play two tie-break sets, no-ad scoring, with a match tie-break in lieu of a third set. Within each division, the top two players/teams will be seeded based on their ATP/WTA computer ranking (if any). The winner of each Sectional Qualifying Tournament in each division (men’s singles, women’s singles, mixed doubles) will advance to the US Open National Playoffs Championships in their respective division taking place in New Haven, CT at Yale University during the New Haven Open at Yale, a WTA event, part of the Olympus US Open Series (August 17-20) for singles, August 22-25 for mixed doubles). The winner of each Singles Championship (1 male, 1 female) will receive a wild card entry to compete in the 2012 US Open Qualifying Tournament (August21-24) and the winner of the Mixed Doubles Championship (1 team) will receive a wild card entry to compete in the 2011 US Open Mixed Doubles Championship (commencing August 29) at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. If traveling using a GPS we recommend using this address: This address is to the Recreation/Event Center. The actual Mercer County Tennis Facility does not have GPS coordinates, however the Recreation/Event Center is close by to the actual tennis facility. Recreation/Event Center 1638 Old Trenton Rd West Windsor, NJ 08550 If coming form the north you will see the tennis facility before you reach the GPS address of the Rec. Center. If coming from south, you will want to pass the GPS address of the Rec. Center and then turn into tennis facility.

Directions from Pennsylvania: Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike (E) towards the NJ Turnpike (276 East). Take Exit 351 (US-1 exit toward Philadelphia/Trenton). Merge onto US-1 N towards I-95 N/Morrisville and follow until the Whitehead Rd. exit. Take the exit and keep right at the fork onto Whitehead Rd. Turn left onto Sweet Briar Ave./ CR-649 E. Next, take a slight left onto Edinburg Rd./ CR-535 E. Follow this road until you see S. Post Rd/CR-602. Take a left onto S. Post Rd. and the tennis center will be half a mile ahead on the left.

Directions from South Jersey: Merge onto I-76 W/I-295 N. Merge onto I-295 N via exit 1B towards Trenton. Take exit 65 A (Sloan Ave. East). Merge onto CR-649 E. Next, take a slight left onto Edinburg Rd./ CR-535 E. Follow this road until you see S. Post Rd/CR-602. Take a left onto S. Post Rd. and the tennis center will be half a mile ahead on the left.

Directions from North Jersey: Take the Garden State Parkway S. Take Exit 8 towards Hightstown/Freehold. Merge onto Franklin St./NJ-33. Then, turn left onto N Main St./NJ-33 W/CR-539. Turn right onto Church St./CR-641. Turn left onto Old Trenton Rd./CR-526/CR-535. Next, take a right onto S. Post Rd/CR-602. The tennis center is a half mile up the road on the left.

Directions from New York: Take I-95 S/NJ Turnpike S. Merge onto NJ Turnpike S. After 36 miles take exit 8 toward Hightstown/Freehold. Merge onto Franklin St./NJ-33. Then, turn left onto N Main St./NJ-33 W/CR-539. Turn right onto Church St./CR-641. Turn left onto Old Trenton Rd./CR-526/CR-535. Next, take a right onto S. Post Rd/CR-602. The tennis center is a half mile up the road on the left.

Directions from Delaware: Get onto DE-1 N towards Toll/Wilmington. Take exit 156 (US-13 N exit) on the left towards I-295/New Castle/NY-NJ. Follow to S Dupont Hwy/US-13 N. Merge onto US40 E towards New Jersey Turnpike/DEL.MEM.BR/ NJ-NY (US-40 E becomes NJ Turnpike). Merge onto I-195 W towards Trenton/Hamilton via exit 7A. Merge onto US130 N towards New Brunswick via exit 5B. From there take a sharp left onto NJ-33. Turn right onto Robbinsville Edinburg Rd/ CR-526. Turn left onto old Trenton Rd/CR535. Next, take a right onto S. Post Rd/CR-602. The tennis center is a half mile up the road on the left.

Directions from Maryland:

Take I-97 N towards Baltimore. Take the exit on the left towards I-895/Harbor Tunnel and continue to follow on the left towards Harbor Tunnel. Merge onto I-895 Spur N (I895 Spur N becomes I-895 N/Harbor Tunnel TRWY which then becomes I-95 N). Merge onto I-295 N towards New Jersey Turnpike/DEL-MEM-BR/NJ-NY. Merge onto the New Jersey Turnpike N via the exit on the left towards New York/Atlantic City. Merge onto I-195 W towards Trenton/Hamilton via exit 7A. Merge onto US-130 N towards New Brunswick via exit 5B. From there take a sharp left onto NJ-33. Turn right onto Robbinsville Edinburg Rd/ CR-526. Turn left onto old Trenton Rd/CR-535. Emergency Information Following are directions to the nearest hospital in case of an emergency. A trainer will NOT be on site but we will have a doctor on call. Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital 1 Union St., Trenton, NJ (609) 259-3401 Start out going east on Old Trenton Road. Turn slight right onto Robbinsville Rd./CR526, follow for about 3 miles. Turn right onto NJ-33, follow for .3 miles. Turn right onto Lake Drive, and Hospital will be at 1 Union St. in .1 miles.
